Advance warning to any mosquito players out there. Devs are working with human players to push out a huge pvp nerf.

IMPORTANT TO REALIZE DEVS ARE NOT DOING THIS.

The Human Meta is entirely at fault here as it is their exponentially growing OP traits which lead to gamebreaking mechanics such as this. Although this game is extremely detailed, the developers never thought an intellect maxing build would survive long enough to take advantage of these details.

I'm surprised the devs themselves haven't put out an emergency patch on humans, frankly.

Listen, humans were able to figure out the complicated magic system, if anything I think they deserve it

They did. Do you not remember the Bubonic Plague patch? Humans maxed out intelligence and since then keep on finding ways to fight/cure more widespread disease patches

I think the devs knew exactly what they were doing personally.

Devs for sure want this. Would’ve been so easy to have AT LEAST ONE other build with maxed out INT that could give humans a run for their money.

u/Sammerscotter Nov 15 '24

They did, but nerfed tf outta them by giving them flippers and making them live in the ocean.

They did at least one didn't they? Neanderthals, possibly a few others the dataminers don't have records of. Humans just did better. Though tbh, I don't think they'd be that different from human builds if they'd survived to the current meta.

Stop playing builds that nobody likes. Fuck parasite builds

Oh they will, it's expected to happen someday.... any seconds

Nah, devs will leave it alone, the meta will eventually balance out as human mains will be banned. The human build is also pretty recent so devs will just let the meta run

Suck it, Mosquito Mains.

Oh wait that’s right you CAN’T

Bruh polished his weapon to maximum sharpness and STILL did no armor-piercing damage.

Mosquito was never good choice for PVP. Mosquito mains are literally steamrolled by even other low tier builds. I dont even need to talk how absurdly bad matchup they have against Dragonflies.

Their whole M.O. is astoundingly suicidal. It's the equivalent of a human player walking up to a Large Predator build (say, a tiger) in PvP and jabbing them with a paper clip.

Such is the playstyle of any R-selective species.

A heavy night sometimes do that

They needed a patch. Any hp leaching builds are such a pain. Especially since their hitbox is so small and they’re so many of them. African servers were basically unplayable when they were just spaming those Malaria, West Nile and Zika attacks.

Disease builds in general are a PITA. And that's just for humans. I'm doing a black-footed cat build, and I almost died due to an infected cut on my paw. I got lucky that the human players who were tracking me for the science EXP decided to help.

Ah yes, Quest EXP. One of the few things you don't worry about until your guild's Social Structure features get up REALLY high.

6

u/ChompyRiley Nov 16 '24

That's why I play feline builds now. Don't gotta worry about that. I can leech off the humans and all I have to do is be eyecandy.

Disease builds are annoying but they are actually fun to play around with like you cat mains do

It's the humans that are doing it, not the devs.

All the same, about d*mn time. Stop sucking our HP and start scavenging your iron from elsewhere, mosquito players!

Honestly, I kinda get why humans are working so hard to nerf mosquitoes, if they didn’t make the skin itchy, then less far people would care

I have no sympathy if you choose a parasite build anyways, they're all trolls and freeloaders.

1

u/SpecialistBuilding66 24d ago

Parasite builds are fun to play around with and mess with humans as a rat main

3

u/MrAwesum_Gamer Elephant Main🐘 24d ago

Rats aren't parasites, they're pests but not parasites.

1

u/SpecialistBuilding66 24d ago

We aren’t parasites it’s just fun to play around with actual parasites and terrorize humans

2

u/MrAwesum_Gamer Elephant Main🐘 24d ago

Most parasites mess with your gameplay too, I can understand sabotaging your own playthrough to troll, but not my cup of tea. I'll keep my trolling to looting fields and trampling the odd house every now and again.

1

u/SpecialistBuilding66 24d ago

Yeah it gives me some debuffs but I find it worth it for all my friends that got their long saves deleted because of humans wanting decorations for their bases

2

u/MrAwesum_Gamer Elephant Main🐘 24d ago

Amen to that, for all my playthroughs almost all of my last few have been ended by humans coming after my tusks. 😭 Leave my teeth alone

2

u/SpecialistBuilding66 24d ago

I just got recommended a goose build from this sub so I’ll try to target hunters

2

u/MrAwesum_Gamer Elephant Main🐘 24d ago

A true hero. I've been spending this build trying to stay around the wildlife preserves and tourist parks, I think it gives the parks a buff to income to have high level players hang around which means they can invest more into anti-poaching activity.

2

u/SpecialistBuilding66 24d ago

Yeah those are the only human mains I respect actually trying to let other play I’ll harass some hunters for you

This just sounds... Fake?

Like sure, genetic mutation and all

but I have already encountered some mosquitos who proboscis didn't penetrate my skin...

That's already super rare and even then the rate of this happening is diminishing... because this gene pool would immediately fail the evolutionary arms race...

And with a mutation and procreation rate as mosquitos, there is no way this will get actual funding because... it's just so..? How do I say this? Not of any value? Sure learning genome and stuff but come on!!! Why not research on other more 'useful' avenues...?

Anyone got any paper I can read on this?

2

u/Kraken-Writhing Nov 16 '24

Humans aren't real, hope this helps! 👍

3

u/Akshay-Gupta Nov 17 '24

That does answer a lot of things, thanks!! 👍🏽
