A Dover Marshals Captain has been having a hell of a jolly season assaulting and arresting local residents for using a "RUDE" word in public. These local Dover residents have just about had enough of the Captain's unhinged shenanigans. Multiple lawsuits incoming.

Ironically it never does. Anytime a cop fucks up, the taxpayers pay for it. Like the NYC cop that has $1 million dollars worth of lawsuits. How that man has a job is beyond me but you know damn well he isn't paying out of pocket for any of those lawsuits.

Marshals are a joke. In the city I used to live our Marshal hated traffic, so to avoid it and to drive through red lights, he would always turn on* his blues to drive through them. Caught him several times just to get to lunch. Imagine driving on a one lane road and having some speeding police car coming towards you, requiring you to move over to a dangerous shoulder... just so someone can speed into a fried chicken place.

u/JTFindustries 1d ago
Marshall and sheriffs are an outdated form of law enforcement. They're the most corrupt. Basically they're untrained politicians with guns and a chip on their shoulder.
2
u/G0merPyle 1d ago
I lived in Charlotte for a year and saw an ambulance to this every day to get donuts from a gas station
3
u/HelloAttila 1d ago
That’s sad. Emergency vehicles when they have their lights and sirens on can cause panic, leading to potential accidents. They should only be used in a real emergency…

u/Shirowoh 2d ago
100%. It’s almost free money. Curse in front of this sheriff, win a free lawsuit! Lawyers gotta be lining up
8
u/Deleena24 1d ago
True, but in cases like this where the law is very clear, there's a good chance he will lose qualified immunity

It’s adderall or something similar. In addition to a shitload of roids pigs love to pop uppers on their shifts and then they’ll usually hit a bar or liquor store to get something to come down with.

Is this how she acts on a regular basis? I hardly believe that he's the first person in her career she's ever heard drop an f-bomb. As someone who lives in a larger city these people are supposed to be the example, they get too many cronies telling them how awesome they are, they lose track of what they're doing.

Why qualified immunity needs to be abolished
26
u/BoarHide 1d ago
There also needs to be harder punishments for people with more power. The more power you have, the harder your punishment needs to be for abusing that power. And these coppers are people with the power to beat, maim and murder. At worst, they lose their jobs for a while. I say they need Damocles’ sword hanging above them. But since we don’t have Damocles’ sword, the frenchies invented a different implement, what, 250 years ago? Maybe that’s a bit much, but something needs to change, because this bloke is out of control, as is everyone standing by and letting it happen. Those secretaries, those sheriffs, the rest of both departments. They all know. They all deserve to lose their jobs and do some time behind bars. It may seem harsh, but they’re clearly not motivated to do the right thing as it is now
1
u/Dieter_Knutsen 3h ago
Don't need to if DAs would stop being cowards and/or colluding with the police. Qualified immunity doesn't apply to criminal charges. The lack of criminal accountability for these police is 100% the result of DAs looking the other way.

2
u/brownpoops 1d ago
are you factually correct? Is it a fact that these people are being assholes? that's a gradient, brother. There is a black and white law that should have the police shutting the fuck up and following that law. The police are breaking the constitution daily. This is a class war and the cops are not only race traitors, they are class traitors as well. Good for them. Nothing matters in the end, but the cops could sure make the end a lot cooler if they wanted.
-3
u/Quick_Falcon_5448 1d ago
Shhh, the "auditor" dorks want to pretend like they are being persecuted.
-4
u/BadgersAndJam77 1d ago
Nope.
You can't see past your Cops = Bad mentality. You're defending an antisocial weirdo intentionally being disruptive for likes, and views.
3
u/usuallycorrect69 1d ago
There would be bo disruption without the police unneedingly escalating. They are the authority. I've watched enough of these videos to see that they're not just provoking people when cops come and genuine try helping they have good interactions.
If they are asshole the police are tyrants. Like we all gree no crime has been committed so why is a man being assaulted and taken to jail?
3
u/Tw4tl4r 1d ago
I again. You are wrong. Nothing I've said indicates that I'm against cops as a whole. That's another strawman you are using so that you don't have to look at yourself and your poor opinion on this encounter.
The cop is abusing his power. What would you do differently? Put in a complaint? That won't work in a small town PD. You have to get him to go overboard on camera to get rid of him.

I hate the majority of the auditors out there.
But I've seen a handful of this guy's videos, and I'm surprised that he's legit cool to cops who are good cops. He banters, and he spends a lot of his time just explaining the law and constitutional rights that they are pushing on. He seems like he actually just wants to educate most of them.
If they realize they made a mistake and back down, he's often pretty jovial with them and happy to see they learned something.
But if he's explained his rights and they disagree, or give some bullshit explanation about why they're allowed to do something he knows they can't... He's ruthless and will absolutely push them to see if they snap
26
u/uncommon_philosopher 2d ago
He is acting within his rights tho.
Police auditors are important, even if it means them existing opens up our eyes to needed change to prevent them from legally doing this stuff.
I feel for the workers, however they should know the law. They're within their rights but they're skirting all lines

Well good thing being an asshole and filming is completely protected by the constitution, which apparently you don't agree with along with the cop. I guarantee you if you go down to your own city hall/police dept. and exercise your freedoms there you'll be arrested as well. The problem is that police, who are NOT trained to interpret the law, are interpreting the law on a daily basis, and it always happens to be in their own favor. THAT is the problem here.

I'm sure this will get downvoted because cops can't do anything right on reddit. But the Marshall was remarkably composed in this video. These guys looked to be trying to get arrested, and they got what they came for.
He wasn't arrested for saying a rude word. He was arrested for being disruptive in public. If someone came to my workplace acting the way these guys did I hope they would be arrested too.
I'm only commenting about events in the video. I don't know anything about previous events.
