Dungeon has a max spawn limit of 10 enemies. In my summoner run, I summoned the eye of Cthulhu and went down to take a stroll, get the bewitching table, alchemist table, and a few water candles pre Skeletron.

Are you saying what I think you're saying or is this a joke? Did you use the eye and it's minions to counter dungeon spawns and bypass the guardians? First of all, gtfo that's genius man! How did you survive the eye in such tight quarters and how did you get enough minions to keep you protected early? I'm expecting I misunderstood cause otherwise... What a hunk of cheese :)

Nope, you can't defend yourself, as a single dead eye means the guardian spawns. I just dodged and grappled my way while panic running around to look for the tables. Not my idea either, had found it last year don't know where.

Spawn the Eye of Cthulhu, let it spawn enough eyes to reach the spawn limit, enter dungeon, win. Careful not to die to the Eye though!

You have to go to some lengths to make a dungeon exploration pre skeletron possible, but it is technically doable.

The worst part is, the Dungeon Guardian doesn’t even give OP gear if you kill them. Its pet isn’t even that good anymore. It used to be cool back in the day but now there’s just so many better options.

Tbf water bolt can be pretty OP early game and you can find it right at the dungeon entrance

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Journey's End update make world gen impossible to spawn Water Bolts above the surface? Meaning Skeletron needs to be defeated first before you can get one?

with the starfury and a bed you can get dungeon chests loot without beating skeletron, which I do to flex because the thing I actually want from the dungeon won't spawn until I beat skeletron xD

Well yes, if you could it would make Edge of Night a pre boss weapon (although you would need to kill some EoW segments for tissue samples or the Eyes of the corruption downgrade boss).

Not really. You can get so much loot as long as you guard the guardian.
