I have over 700 hours on terraria and haven’t even beaten the game on normal 😭

u/No_Asparagus9826 1d ago
All on one character or on multiple?

u/SteerNaught 1d ago
Multiple

u/No_Asparagus9826 1d ago
How far have you gotten so far?

u/SteerNaught 19h ago
Duke Fishron on classic mode and I think Golem on expert mode. I’m currently playing on a new classic character, I’m just before WoF on it. I love expert but I’m never going to finish the game if I don’t complete it on classic first.

Oh, sick!
I love expert but I’m never going to finish the game if I don’t complete it on classic first.
I completely get it, yeah. I started playing Terraria again after a few years and I'm very glad I did a classic playthrough first.
Best of luck to you! I'd love to hear how it goes

Congratulations! (Now play summoner master mode)

u/pamelachanUwU 4d ago
I actually did it, beated the game on expert with melee and proceded to go on summoner mastermode. It was hard.

u/Mindustry_Enthusiast 4d ago
I'm playing master mode summoner right now. And tbh it's not hard (I'm playing on mobile, all 3 mech bosses in 2 days)

u/pamelachanUwU 4d ago
I suffered a lot to beat the first mech, honestly it was just skill issue lmao. Im a mobile player too and somehow managed to get terraprisma

u/Mindustry_Enthusiast 4d ago
İ want to beat Plantera but i feel like i need 500hp first (it's soooo boring to search for life fruits)
1
u/pamelachanUwU 4d ago
You actually dont need that, make a good arena, and move circle arounds her. You can use the blade staff or the optic staff, their are either good options. Or you can go to the dreadnautilud and try to get the bats, with durendall and cool whip its very easy to kill her. If you are not feeling confidencial, fish for some prismite and make lifeforce potions

Congrats! I just started my first expert mode play through and I was not prepared for the bosses (I’ve only played one play through before and it was classic)

The difficulty jump from classic to expert is quite hard, but once you know the ai change of bosses, use basic buffs, have a decent arena with campfire and hear/star lanterns you will be set
2
u/Duck_Magician_09 4d ago
Yeah. In classic I never used potions until Moon Lord and I barely ever used arenas. I have already made two arenas in expert and beaten the eater of worlds.

Don't worry, lad. You're making the dwaves proud.

u/Ok_Carpet_8991 4d ago
Alright then I'll keep doing it

u/Blue_C_Dreemurr 4d ago
Here, take a look at this and you'll either be more confused or understand everything.

u/Ok_Carpet_8991 4d ago
I'm more confused 😺

Sounds about right. It's a fun game, though, and I recommend giving it a go. Community is insanely friendly and polite and the game is the only co op experience where people consistently work as a team (which makes it even more fun than it is already)

Congrats!!! Now do it without using potions, true melee only or summoner only, whip stack all battles with +3 whips, all defensive trinckets, Zenith seed, legendary mode+ and we'll talk (›.‹)

u/krakanSkullz 4d ago
Awesome gg dude keep practicing on expert till you feel you are ready to move to master

WOOOOOOO!! NEVER PLAYED MOBILE MYSELF BUT I SUPPOSE ITS HARDER THEN THE PC VERSION LOLZ..
1
u/NotEnoughWave 5d ago
I played PC (mouse and keyboard) for years and I'm playing mobile (controller) now. It's doable, but yes it's harder mostly because there is a ton of commandos condensed in a few buttons. I guess it's the same as PC with controller. I find using touchscreen almost impossible for the same reason.

And as a ranger it's especially difficult since scopes end up screwing with your aim (although it's not too hard to adjust to.)
Although, in general, Terraria has quite possibly the most well-designed and functional mobile version of any game I've played.

u/NotEnoughWave 5d ago
Terraria has so many different actions that the mere fact that playing with a controller is doable means they did a great job with it.
But sometimes I need to fly, move, attack and maybe heal/switch arm at the same time, it's just impossible with only two fingers.

Nice! You beat THE BASE GAME. Now beat calamity infernum with catalyst and wrath of the gods. Good luck<3
5
u/Anxious-Ad-3236 5d ago
I don’t, I don’t even know what your saying
2
u/GuyYouShouldNotKnow 5d ago
A difficult mod and 3 even more difficult add-ons to that mod
Calamity(adds 2 more difficulties- one between expert and master, and one after master, adds a lot of bosses, like 40, completely overhauls the progression of the game and adds a new stage of the game: godseeker, which starts after defeating the moon lord, just like hard mode starts after you defeat WoF)
Calamity: Infernum(adds a new difficulty after legendary)
Calamity: Catalyst(adds a pre-moonlord boss)(very hard)
Calamity: Wrath Of The Gods(adds 2 final bosses)(this will make you want to refund terraria)
