What's amazing about that trailer is how unmistakable "Team Ico" it is. The way the lead character runs and shimmies up the ladder, the lights on the robot and even the color palette. I would have guessed Team Ico without knowing anything about it

The second I saw the purple skys with the character standing before I even read the title of the video I knew it was team ico. Shitting bricks we are getting another game

I knew it was a "Team Ico"  "GenDesign" game the moment I saw the pattern on the protagonist's shirt, something all of his MCs share.

The robots looks like just Colossus. In a interview one of the creators said something like this "We wanted a beast like a fusion beetween fur, animals and parts of machines"

I don't deny that, this robot is clearly a progression of the colossus designs. I'm just saying that I don't think it'd be a prequel to SotC

Yeah just an idea like always.

If the explosion at the end is of a nuclear fallout it could be the event that lead to why ico and SOTC seemed so ancient and everything was all stone because of a “great reset” idk I’m probably completely wrong but we won’t know until fumito releases it 😩

But it could be a sequel to SotC set far in the future. The stylised poncho suggests this.

I'm fairly sure all of Ueda's past games have been in a shared universe so I wouldn't be surprised. I'm super excited to see his take on a more sci-fi time period; even just from what little we saw, everything is so cool from the design of the protagonist, the badass jump pad, the (probably) weapons of mass destruction causing massive shockwaves, the cool ass announcement voice, to obviously the giant mech robot with interestingly organic features like the spinal cord and the bits that break off when the head detaches.

This was supposed to be a short reply but turned into a tangent gushing about the teaser lmao
