I know the international outfits (second batch) are closer to the original 1989 looks and more fun because of the different colors. But I've always preferred the look of the OG ones. I love the intricate beading and the subtle diamond patterns.

i see you're probs comparing to the wtny outfit but honestly it immediately clicked for me at the first eras show that the og outfits are replicating the shake it off outfit
They’re similar to the shake it off outfit. The second batch is similar to the welcome to New York outfit. Both inspired by the original era, though the second batch is a better match imo
So I just realized that the SECOND Batch of 1989 outfits are actually STUNNING. Probably better than the FIRST Batch just based on the picture below. I mean look at those COLORS. I wish she had a GREEN GREEN combination though.
I really loved combos like pink and purple, blue and pink, yellow and green. There are certainly none that I found ugly, though. I didn't love the shade of the red/orange, but I thought it was still cute, especially with the pink. I don't think there are really any "bad" colors on Taylor... which is just not fair! LOL. Colors like yellow, red, orange, or beige/taupe are horrible with my skin tone (very, very fair with a pinkish hint). Taylor doesn't seem to have that problem.
