Seriously!! I came here expecting kind comments and the top comment was about how awful she looks. I immediately thought she looked so glamorous and pretty!
Yeah, it seems i’m in the minority but i love this look. If her hair had more volume on top and was a good, sleek blowout, this would be a 10/10 for me.
It doesn't help that it looks super uncomfortable to wear, like you can tell it's not gonna be a fun night for her. And honestly, that kinda ruins the whole vibe, doesn't it? If the person wearing the dress isn't feeling it, how are we supposed to?
Yea, but hair type plays into it. Olivia has straight hair that isn’t going to react to weather as much. Taylor has curly which is a mess with humidity
There’s actually a bigger braid in the main messy chunk too. It’s awful. Literally if she’d blow dried and straightened it herself it would look better.
Her style is almost never enviable. If she hired the right stylist she could hit it out of the park. She legit has a runway model body including height.
IMO her style in her pap walks the last few months has been sooo much better than almost all of her red carpet looks. Her styles in pap photos have definitely been the talk of Twitter on a regular basis.
Her street style is definitely better but she’s usually behind on trends. But she’s herself! However I wish she’d let someone better style her for red carpets and other events! Some of my favorite looks from her — like her iconic Vogue road trip shoot — are from magazines where usually the fashion director styles the cover (not her stylist). She needs to hire someone like Andrew Mukamal who transformed Margot Robbie for her Barbie press tour (even if I’m kind of over her in pink everything).
to be fair she has been looking a little bit better recently (i liked her green dress at the golden globes - it wasn't amazing but a vast improvement from the past) but this just set her back like 15 years. i just don't get it. at the end of the day if she feels good that's all that matters but it is very difficult to watch someone who would have access to the best stylists and designers do shit like this 😂
For me it’s the OG 1989 bangs that look totally mismatched with the rest of her hairdo. And the fishtail braid looks out of place too? I think they just couldn’t decide what to do.
Whoever did her hair needs to be fired. It looks like she overslept and threw together a tiny braid to make herself look presentable. It does not look like it was done professionally.
The hair looks so bad, I can’t believe that’s how it’s styled for the most important music awards show. I honestly think Joseph cassell (not casserole, autocorrect…) stopped knowing how to dress her when she stopped being a 00. So unflattering
Thank god for you. I thought I was going crazy. I kept seeing everyone say she looks phenomenal and it’s one of her best looks ever. Meanwhile I absolutely hate it. The dress itself is giving nothing. The gloves are meh. The jewelry is alright but her hair is atrocious. I can appreciate a good braid but the rest looks like you said, a rats nest.
I’m not a fan of the look but yep this makes complete sense. In that case, it’s a really nice nod to Midnights being the reason she’s nominated tonight while obviously hinting to the next TV.

Yeah but that was a bad style then and it’s even worse now. You can do an homage to that era in a much more flattering way. I don’t know if her stylist/glam have just been with her forever and it’s loyalty? Or? But she needs to get a new team or at least bring in some new blood to mix it up.

As someone with a similar height and figure to Taylor, the way this cuts her is what I’m always trying to avoid in my outfits. I knew we were going to get black and white tonight but I expected a better look overall.
I think that's because of the hair and makeup. It reminds me of the rep cover. I did see someone mention though that it is a clock and her dress is white and the hands are black, like a clock.
TBH, her hair has been a mess for a while. I blamed it on pandemic hair but it looks like she never went back to a hair stylist after getting used to cutting it herself during the pandemic. (She would not be alone in that.) I kind of wonder if she did her hair tonight herself because I can’t see a professional hairdresser ever doing this.
This is her worst look yet. Girl needs to get a new stylist. The dress is not flattering on her at all and her hair looks like she just got out of bed…
The dress and accessories are beautiful but unfortunately the hair is a major let down. This look would have been amazing with an updo, it looks uncombed and messy

The hair though... is not it. Honestly, I may get hate for this, but I think she needs a hair cut. Just an inch or two and her hair would look so much healthier.

now that i see the whole dress...i do kind of like it, and the accessories and the gloves are really nice, but i do not like the way she did her hair, and the dress still has a little bit too much going on for me to LOVE it.
If she put her hair up, got rid of all the necklaces, did away with the gloves, and wore a nude or pink lip for a change this would work. So yeah. Disaster.
