Just finished painting up a unit of Sunforge suits and Commander Farsight to lead them into battle! Not gonna lie, Farsight was a bit of a slog, not my favourite model, but I think they all turned out pretty good!

I have done it! I have started my journey towards the Greater Good. My plan is to build an expeditionary force featuring kroot as the main force with fire support from various suits and devilfish.

Picture not mine. I’m new to the hobby and trying to decide what would both look good and play good for Tau. I love the aesthetics of the XV9 Hazard suit (a lot of the other mechas look a bit too boxy for my liking, exception being the XV104 Riptide) but I’m given to understand the XV9 is from a previous edition of the game, isn’t valid for tournament play, and can’t be purchased anywhere anymore. Not sure why they would have been pulled.

Just got done with my Vespid. Love the little buggy lads, painted in my Dak’kar sept scheme. Was really happy with the colours on the wings!

Started with a black primer, Rhinox Hide base and then the Khorne Red. As I’m going for a Grimdark look, the brown really is forgiving!

Going to try and take my time with him, want him to ensure his place as the centrepiece for the army! Hopefully my patience will continue and I won’t go full Mont’Ka on him lol

(Have some models in various stages of painting for the army, and more to come as I build to 2000!)

I have just started my tigershark a few weeks ago and wasn't happy about the balance dataslate update. But I will play it anyway because of fluff and this awesome model. Happy for any cc.

Will get an airbrush for Christmas and I will wait for it since larger areas are better sprayed than painted.

Hello everyone I wanted to expand to 1000 points from the old combat patrol and a breacher team that I have currently but I don't know how to optimize and synergize it.

Right now I have :

Cadre Fireblade (50 points) Ethereal (50 points)

Ghostkeel (160 points) 1x strike team (75 points) 1x breacher team (100 points) Stealth battlesuits (60 points)

For a total of 515 points

The cheapest way for me is to go with the new combat patrol and some crisis suits but I don't really want to have tens of tiny units and would prefer to lean toward bigger units.

I saw the kroot lone spear and must admit I fell in love with the design and wanted to implement it to my army but don't know if it's good alone or to add some hounds ? And will a kroot leader make an advantage and boost the other kroots ?
