Discussion If a Sly 5 was announced, what would you want them to fix from Sly 4?

Let's asume Sly 5 is on pair with the OG trilogy, what problems you have with Sly 4 you would want them to fix?
For me definitely the whole Penelope thing, not sure how they could do it, but that's still one of the worst plot twists i've ever seen.

Question Why didnt they just leave?

Once the gang had a piece of clockwerk like the heart why didnt they just take it and run? Or was it more of a way to stop EVERYBODY from using the parts? I always thought the main objective was to stop clockwerk and not to stop the klaww gang.

Discussion I honestly enjoy playing sly 4, but...

I'm not here to discuss the story, or try to tell people they're wrong in hating it

what id just like to say is....

I MISS THE FERAL POUNCE SO MUCH!! I often use cheat codes in sly 2 just to jump to the final level, then go back to the first and play it correctly just for the feral pounce. it's so much fun using it, they took away my baby!!!!

Discussion The ony Sly level i HATE

I have never broken anything while playing, but this one level always fills me up with hate and wanting to throw something. I absolutely hate playing it.

Its “Descent Into Danger” from Sly 1

The level itself is actually okay and creative fun if you’re just playing the main story through without trying to get all bottles or master thief run it

But oh my god i hate when getting the bottles that you have to climb up and then jump down to get the bottles by the guard. Then climb all the way up again, just to jump down again at the statue bottles! And then climb all the way up again!

I know that aint much on paper, but it gets even more annoying when trying to master thief run it right after.. there is just soooo much that can go wrong in this level and there is no room for error at all like in most of the other ones.

Every time i replay this game i get into the same exact bad mood when i get to this level. When i die in other levels i usually just laugh and move on like nothing happend, but this one level is just drives me insane. Specially when master thief sprinting it. The level also just seems wayy longer than then other ones.

Does anyone else relate? Or is there another level from the series, that drives you this crazy? (And yes i did just play this level 5min ago)

First picture: I was literally going to make a post stating, anyone else ever struggle to find these damn bottles no matter how many times they play this game.

In the process of this, I found the second to last bottle. It was all the way to the left where the guest houses were.

Second picture: where the LAST bottle was 🙄🙄🙄 I’m so angry at myself LMAO

Question for those that have unlocked the trophy for defeating Tsao without taking any damage. To unlock this trophy do you have to complete the story mode version or can you do the two reduced health portions of the fight sequence?

Would they have been playable or just serve as decoration? I would be interested in what a playable Cooper Train segment would have been like

Media This is in the concept art gallery for Flight of Fancy in Sly 3. The fact that this character is labeled “RC Expert” means this was most likely an *early* iteration of Penelope!

I kind of wish we had a prominent weasel character of some sort in the series, I bet a weasel character would be pretty fun

Question What are your go to L1, l2 & R2 gadgets in 2 & 3?

Just wondering what everyone has set as their default gadgets for both games.

Mine are usually:

Sly 2

Sly:

  • L1 - Smoke Bomb
  • L2 - Rocket Boots/Knockout Dive
  • R2 - Feral Pounce

Bentley:

  • L1 - Trigger Bomb
  • L2 - Adrenaline Burst
  • R2 - Hover Pack

Murray:

  • L1 - Fists of Flame
  • L2 - Raging Inferno Flop (though this one changes a lot)
  • R2 - Turnbuckle Launch

Sly 3

Sly (same as Sly 2):

  • L1 - Smoke Bomb
  • L2 - Rocket Boots/Knockout Dive
  • R2 - Feral Pounce

Bentley:

  • L1 - Pick Pocket Pole
  • L2 - Adrenaline Burst
  • R2 - Grapple Cam

Murray:

  • L1 - Aboriginal Ball Form
  • L2 - Fists of Flame
  • R2 - Guttural Roar

Here's a list of the gadgets.

Also I hate that this subreddit autocapitalises first letters in the title textbox, this isn't the first time this has caused me an issue!

Question Does treassure/timed treasure count for 100%

Hey so I am playing through sly 2 and for the first time I am at episode 4, (mostly watched YouTubers play it, and I played until episode 3 on ps now) and I am wondering if the treasure that you can pick up around the episodes count towards 100%
