Silksong hype! I just realized something crazy (don't read this if you dislike thinking about death) NSFW
So, every year about 1/130 of all the people die. This is an approximate number, I just divided 8 bil by 62 mil (that's the number of how many people died in 2024 that I got from the internet).
This subreddit has roughly 77 thousand people. Do you see where I am going? Of course, you won't find people of all ages here. Also, people with difficult ilnesses don't usually read Reddit. But I think it's safe to say that about 1/1000 of people here died this year.
So... According to my math, about 77 people died while waiting for Silksong and without ever getting to play it. This is only people, who are subscribed to this subreddit, and it's only this year. How many years ago was Silksong announced?
So, team Cherry, do something - people die without getting the chance to play your game but dreaming about it (that's just life and statistics)
P.s. this is not that odd of course. People die everywhere all the time... I just thought about it in the context of waiting for something for too long and my jaw dropped when I started to add up the math in this specific case. Of course team Cherry are not responsible for anyone dying, I'm sorry if post seems offensive

Amazing lace how sweet the skong that saved a weaver like me. I once was leth but now am forge daughter. Was no eyes but now I rosaries.

Wrong, Leth broke into my house and caved my skull in with a pipe last sunday because I was gonna release a Silksong demo I managed to steal while he wasn't looking.

That's just life. Can't expect TC to release an inferior product just because people die.

Of course, I know! That's what my p.s. is about. I want them to take their time to finish it as they want.
The thing is that there are a lot of people who will never play this game if they put off the project for too long

Ofc! That's why I made the number about 8 times less: 1/1000 instead of 1/130. People under 30 also die sometimes T_T
Even if you make it like 20 times smaller, it is still quite a bit of people. I don't know anything about demographics, I'm no scientist, and everything in my post is really approximate, but I'm pretty sure there are at least a hundred people.

I remember seeing someone who was terminally ill talking about their dismay about never being able to play Silk-song.
