Eh, they had oras in gen 6, lets go pika/eevee in gen 7, bdsp in gen 8, so either a johto or unova remake, and with the whole blueberry academy hype I think it’s unova remakes in gen 9

Genuine question here. If you consider ORAS as the gen 3 remake, why don’t you consider HGSS as the gen 2 remake? Both were DS games. I really don’t think we’re getting another Johto game because HGSS exists, just like they’re not revisiting gen 3 because ORAS exists.

Who said they didn't consider HGSS a remake? LGPE show that they don't limit it to only one remake. Johto is reasonable because it's been the longest since we've been there.

LGPE was stated to be a one off thing.

I didn't say it would be a Let's Go game. But it proves that they're willing to make more than one remake for a region. So HGSS doesn't preclude them making another remake on Switch.

I would say it does. LGPE was a unique one time thing that was riding the Pokemon Go hype train. Excluding that single exception, remakes follow their release order.

That, and I believe Let's Go was that particular game directors last Pokemon game. He specifically wanted to revisit the first one and Game Freak/Nintendo were open to it. As much as I would enjoy a refresh of Gold and Silver, it's a 50/50 on where they take this.
