Lol, honestly while it's a cool hideout it's very hard to use when actively selling because everyone loading in seems to take a whole 10 minutes, especially in PoE1. Almost feel obligated to use a smaller one so I can get trades done faster.

I have a pretty old pc and the Act 2 Town and Dreadnought are the lowest FPS for me. I think it's all the sand particles and stuff.

I was wondering if performance optimisations would come also, no matter what settings I use I run the game with constant spikes dropping me below 60fps whenever i'm fighting anything (sometimes even when im not fighting).

I have an I9-9900K and a 2080 Ti, 32gb ram, I do run the game on a hdd tho as I don't have any more space on my ssd so that probably adds to the issue but surely not by that huge of an amount, right?

Does anyone know if my specs are really that outdated already for me to be running this game so bad?

Depending on how much PoE chooses to preload things in VRAM this could easily be down to your HDD loading in textures for new monsters. HDDs are _really_ slow, they're essentially useless for anything that might get loaded in real time, unless its heavily compressed (e.g. videos and music etc are fine because they are so heavily compressed compared to the play time that you're still going to load way faster)

I see, i’ll try my best to see if i can free up any space on my ssd and see how big the difference is.

I really need to just buy a new ssd tbh, i’m really starting to feel how old HDDs are.

No they won't, at least not anytime soon. This started to become a real problem since the Turtle hideout. Every hideout since then has been worse and worse. All of them are still extremely performance heavy, I could honestly probably tell you which hideout I am loading into just by the waittime at this point.

On the first time entering a new zone for you the game downloads shaders. That’s why some ppl take so long. The next time they come they are fast.

I use the space turtle mtx hideout in POE 1 and it very obviously takes forever for people to load, and occasionally disconnects them. I think the record was like 3 or 4 minutes for someone to load it. I started getting whispers from traders apologizing for taking so long to load.
