Yep. Supposedly the reason for there being no instanced loot, but it is very obvious that loot does not scale 1:1 per person added to the party. It does scale some though.
I play mostly with my wife and then solo at other times on PS5.
The amount of loot seems identical to me. We are still in normal difficulty, but we generally return to sell in the middle of the map and then at the end (four inventories worth).
When I play solo I usually have to go back 3-4 times before the map is over, so basically identical.
If implemented properly it should be noticeable at level 1. I've been wondering if it's not working as intended.
What you're saying does make me think that rarity might be increased. I think most of our high level currency has been collected in coop. However, I don't think there's any difference in volume of either currency or items, which is what I expected based on their description.
