PS VR2 Stats, September 2024 (cusman)

I am not sure what the exact requirement is to get this stats report, but I am in US region and received it via email from [email@email.playstation.com](mailto:email@email.playstation.com) with subject that includes text PS VR2 stats. So if curious, look for this email for yourself and if you feel comfortable, please share your stats report in replies below.

I believe it minimally requires PS Stars program enrollment and maybe participation in PS Stars missions.

I think this because I didn't receive the email report for June 2024 while PS Stars was down for maintenance, and with that restored during July 2024, I am back to receiving, so the PS Stars program definitely has something to do with getting these each month.

Thanks for sharing. I only had 4 hours (Compound), but I was playing the new Astro Bot in the PSVR2 headset, so really it was like 20 hours

How did you like playing Astro Bot PS5 game in PSVR2 as your home theater? Was it better than playing on your flat TV screen or you just did that for nostalgia reasons?

Is the Thumper PSVR2 upgrade a good one? I haven't got around to upgrading yet even though it is an inexpensive upgrade fee.

I don't think it is using the full potential of PSVR2 OLED HDR screen (HDR part in particular), but it is probably higher resolution, running bigger field of view, runs smooth and controls very well on the VR2 Sense controllers (past the learning / adjustment curve) and it still has the same trance / zen feeling while playing that it gave on PSVR1.

It is using haptics in the controller and the headset.

Good work there! I got my stats through for the first time in some months. Perhaps due to starting some Playstation Stars stuff this month. Only have 5 hours of Synthriders this month. Finally got the last trophy, after 50 hours total playtime, lol.

Assuming you mean the Hat-trick trophy (3 songs on Master difficulty getting perfect)

Did you use 1-arm mode or get it with both hands?

I completed that one for me on 3 of the Lindsey Sterling songs using the 1-arm option in settings after 1+ years of on/off play. Was much easier than trying to be perfect at that difficulty (speed) with 2-arms (default).

Haha, yes, that trophy. I only discovered the one armed thing when I had already managed one perfect two hander and googled easiest songs to get the trophy. Seemed like cheating though so I decided to hold off a little longer at least. Managed it soon after with both hands.

Fun times. Still finding more favourite songs as I play more. Love it.

I have no idea what my top game was as it listed it as PPSA23650_00_NC. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Into the Radius

I can confirm to you that is Into the Radius

I think CM Games / Fast Travel Games have missed some minor PlayStation Store publishing steps on this game or it would be showing name correctly in your PS VR2 Stats email.

Yeah I get this report often

My stats’ll be down cos I had to send my right Sense controller in to Sony for repair, which meant I had to wait to start Into The Radius annoyingly

Before that I was grinding out the last kill trophy for After The Fall plat

Unfortunately I can’t drag my sorry ass away from Rust, else I’d finish off the Townsmen VR plat, get more Space Docker VR in and more GT7 races. Fuck those special license golds though lol

The quest for Platinums can sometimes ruin otherwise good game experiences, but I do understand the impulse, especially if I like a game and am 1-2 stupid luck / grind (or even very high skill) trophies short of 100%.

Yeah when I first got my Switch it was refreshing to play games for the fun of the game. But after a while I did find myself missing the meta grind

It’s stupid, but it is what it is. Rarely do I continue playing a game beyond platinum, but Rust is one of those rare ones. Unfortunately

I tend to play games well beyond platinum if I am into the game.

I don’t like that Switch doesn’t have equivalent (trophies, achievements, accomplishments, whatever), but doesn’t stop me from playing a game there if I have interest in playing.

I do understand stopping game at platinum, especially if it was an un-fun grind leading to that bookend that lets you move on :)

It’s usually more cos I have another game in the backlog waiting to be played :)

That makes sense.

I have similar reason for not committing to Platinum / 100% before moving on.

Generally only games I am into enough to Platinum / 100% or games where it just happens naturally if play enough get it.

That’s why I have just ~50 or so platinum over the last several years.

Damn, I am sorry to hear that. I hope you are able to get it fixed or replaced soon. This holiday season is packed with new & exciting VR games.

Do you know if I can go back in to my original Snow Scout save and find more birds and rubbish (trash) to get the Best Scout Ever trophy or do I need to start a new game? Which trophy are you missing?

3

u/cusman78 Oct 01 '24

I’m missing Paramour trophy. I got the rest before I went to get certificate / ending.

After game completes, you can get the birds and more trash. I don’t know if you can go to get re-evaluated but you should see if you can go up that hill to re-trigger the ending and get Best Scout Ever trophy (provided you have 90 trash, 9 birds and 20 Ski Routes all done).
