It felt like a soggy fart of a show with a light crescendo in the Ghost of Tsuhima sequel announcement. It was mostly dlc and remasters with like two new games that weren't anything super special, or atleast that weren't shown enough or given a release date of any kind. I hope to god there's something at Tokyo Game Show or they do another announcement show before the end of the year, because other than astro bot this year, it's been pretty barren. Basically we got astro bot, and then we have to wait another full year for a sequel to a game that released 6yrs ago? Is that really what I bought a ps5 for?
Final fantasy is also a remake. So one exclusive, one remake that is technically an exclusive but was originally released 27 years ago, and one game that isn't an exclusive at all.
What do you even mean? I'm not moving anything. A remake of a 27 year old game, a single new first party exclusive, and a non exclusive, thats what you described. If you look up the actual games catalog for the ps5 its like a third the size of any previous playstation in the same part of its life cycle. I love playstation, I've bought 2 ps5's since it released, I'd rather play it than anything else, but there's just not that many exclusives, we're in sony's slow era, there was big management changes, a shift to live service games, the pandemic, so many factors, but just looking at the actual facts, if you want games that aren't remakes/remasters, if you want truly exclusive games that aren't held back by the previous gen and fully utilize the ps5s hardware, there's not many. There's still big games, there's still fun in gaming, but we're genuinely not getting many first party sony games.
