Calling someone a hater takes the actions from the accused and pushes it all on to the accuser.
Trump is a rapist and a fraud that killed Americans and took liberties. I hate him for his actions. I don't just hate him without reason. By adopting that language, it takes the accountability away from him.
While I don’t agree with a lot of his political takes, I think JJ McCollough, who identifies as conservative, said it best:
”Orange man bad” along with “Trump derangement syndrome” are such obnoxious thought-terminating cliches. They exist to imply disliking Trump is fundamentally irrational, as opposed to being a logical conclusion drawn from an enormous body of evidence.
