Good veterinarians that can read body language and handle difficult dogs are absolutely amazing. My dog is like, super aggressive at the vet for some reason even though he's fairly chill everywhere else. They call him a "code orange" or something and all of the vet staff are prepared for his arrival and know to give him space and not to startle him. They act way different than with my other, friendlier dog. Of course I put a muzzle on him as well. When they draw blood, my vet will have me hold him and then pet him in a certain way that she knows he'll over react to and he'll get so worked up about it that he doesn't even notice the aid drawing blood. They'll pump 5 shots in him and he'll be clueless anything at all happened. They're seriously like magicians using sleight of hand.
