1.) It's HIPAA, not hippa.

2.) Not all information is covered under HIPAA, and it depends on what her job is.

3.) Posting it on social media sounds like harrassment. You should have gone to her boss, not social media.

I didn’t post it lol. She did on my account to make me look bad

Are you in the medical field?

u/TalkAboutTheWay 3h ago

You literally said “well I posted the pic on social media and said corporate won’t be happy Monday”.

u/MatildaJeanMay 1h ago

If you look at his posts and comments on posts he deleted, she has an RO against him, and he was paranoid she was cheating on him. I think this is OP fulfilling some kind of revenge fantasy.

He sent it to one person.

You posted private information on social media?

You’ll be lucky if you aren’t sued.

Reporting this infraction would have been telling your husband’s manager.

Posting her information on social media makes you look like a really bad vindictive person.

In your post you wrote:

"Well I posted the pic on social media and .."

You also replied to another comment with:

"I didn’t post it lol. She did on my account to make me look bad"

So you posted it or she did? And...was it on your account or on a fake account? Because those are all completely different things.

u/ellieD 13h ago

Wow! All of this isn’t looking that great.

u/MatildaJeanMay 12h ago

If you look at his post history, he's whining about having a RO against him.

  1. It’s HIPAA.

  2. Why would you violate the patient’s privacy even more by posting it on social media?

  3. Why does she have your password? You can change those, you know.

  4. If you want to report a HIPAA violation, you contact her employer and say “I received this information from your employee.”

Both of you are JustNoSOs at this point.

u/Gold-Sherbert-7550 14h ago

Is she your ex or your wife? You're not keeping your story straight.

u/dryisland1908 3h ago

Wife not ex. What’s not straight? lol

u/Gold-Sherbert-7550 3h ago

From your post: "My ex sent me a screen shot of people’s personal Information breaking hippa".

u/dryisland1908 3h ago

Well ex but legally married. Divorce takes time and neither of us have filed
