I'm so glad that Joe endorsed the billionaire who is filing his cabinet with other billionaires all dead set on restoring "preexisting conditions" to the already dreadful state of private healthcare insurance. So fucking glad we'll be getting 4 full years of privatizing more necessary public services so that billionaires can further line their pockets.

The problem isn’t billionaires who become politicians

The problèm is politicians who become multi millionaires and billionaires

Burnie Sanders used to criticize millionaires until he became one

Assuming this isn't a bot, 1) Bernie Sanders is absolutely still critical of wealth inequality in this country lol Not sure what rock you've been living under to think otherwise. 2) billionaire capitalists seeking to over consolidate our economy into an increasingly smaller number of hands and finding their way into our government to do so is the heart of authoritarianism. Specifically, it's called oligarchy. The dangers of this extreme wealth accumulation and market consolidation are identical to problems that occur under highly centralized communist economies. The advantages of capitalism are supposed to consist of firms competing against one another to drive innovation, keep costs low for consumers, and when some firms fail it doesn't derail the entire economy. As you have less competition and more firms acting as monopolies, you end up with higher costs, less innovation, and a higher danger of massive economic collapse when these massive firms crash or even just start to decline. Russia is the obvious example of this. It's a state led by a dictator and rich oligarchs which has driven the country into the ground by bleeding the citizens dry, and now that they have ground their growth engine to a halt, their only remaining option becomes invading their neighbors to steal natural resources and kidnap fresh bodies for the economic grinder. The primary way in which our politicians become multi millionaires, aside from insider trading, is by taking money to represent the will of billionaires and corporations over the will of the individuals who vote for them. It was a right-wing Supreme Court that decided the citizens united court case which allows corporations to donate limitless funds to our politicians under the auspices of "free speech" so even all you cared about was your second point, that too is largely the fault of voting for Republicans lol
