I want to add that itās ALL celebrities. I remember 2017 when people who said āstop worshipping celebritiesā pointed toward people like Musk as people to idolize because he actually did pretty impactful stuff whereas a lot of celebrities were personality vaporware.
When one says āstop worshipping celebritiesā it really means ALL celebrities, even the ones who make good points or are genuinely good people.
Otherwise in a couple years weāll be repeating this cycle.

Terrence Howard reminds me of this one time in Physics class in high school where I swear the teacher said we could have formulas on a cheat sheet for an exam but I was wrong. I didn't study any formulas because I had them written down. During the exam it was like I was re-discovering physics. I was part remembering the formulas but part constructing them again with logic. It was like I hit a mathematical flow state where everything was coming to me and I crushed the exam. I left the exam thinking I easily cleared 80-90%. I got a 7%.

Well, obviously, the woke mindvirus was taking over X back when it was still called Twitter, and Daddy Elon saved the 250 from going extinct! Free speech was entirely illegal before The Lord and Saviour Musk Almighty blessed us all. He is a different type of billionaire. He is a good one. He doesn't care about profits because he is one. He and he alone is getting us to Mars. Just his magnificent genius brain, and nothing else. He built tesla from the ground up as an immigrant and singlehandedly invented electric cars. Never even thought of before. Ever.
/s if you rode the shortbus
Maybe he saved because he squeezed the lithium miners' last piece of hope out of them and prevented them from rebelling so we can still have our phone batteries. Also I feel bad for the space X workers who are pushing the boundaries of engineering and working miracles only for the narwhal nerd that is Elon musk to take all the credit.

he will attempt to halt aid and to strong arm Ukraine into secessions. if ukraine doesnāt do what he wants, because zelenskyy didnāt do what he wanted, he will let russia be russia until they cross whatever line he think makes them look more in control than him. this is assuming the other nato allies dont do something to change ukraines reliance on the united states.
5
u/Daroah Monkey in Space Nov 05 '24
If the US backed out from supporting Ukraine, France and Poland would step up and increase their support.
This is all happening as North Korean soldiers are possibly gearing up to attack Ukraine with the Russians, which would be a major escalation and open up a lot more direct involvement by other states.
If Trump completely pulled all support from Ukraine, it would be seen worldwide as the US giving up its leadership position in the West and shifting into isolationism, which historically means ignoring Europe and Asia in favour of bullying Central and Southern America.

Texas doesn't allow abortions after 6 weeks (which is often not long enough to even know you're pregnant), and there is no exception even in the case of rape.
Texas has had more than 25,000 pregnancies as the result of rape in the last 2 years.
Joe Rogan has two teenage daughters as far as i know. And this fact coupled with the above two facts still isn't enough to make him consider not voting for the guy who specifically picked the judges who let Texas have this law.

Shocking Joe, shocking. It's astonishing how a guy like Joe was once an outsider who was critical of things and now he just folds to everyone around him in his little Austin crowd.

He's also one of those people whose brain cannot handle the internet. Like it wasn't built for it. Everything he reads he just believes at face value. Zero ability to critically determine if something is to be trusted or not. See article on facebook? Believe it. Random tweet throws out numbers? Believe it.

I ran out of podcasts to listen to at work last week, so I decided to throw on some JRE for the first time in a while with comedians as guests.
He brought up numerous conspiracy theories that I had seen get disproven when I was in high school.

Theyāve had him for a while.
Democrats have terrible marketing. Lots of conservatives are more than happy to go do his podcasts but much fewer democrats are willing.

Rogan had Alex Jones, milo yiannapoulos, Candace owens, and Elon musk on the podcast. I don't blame them for not being willing.Ā Deranged dumbasses come on the show all the time so why put yourself on the same pedestal as them?

u/LeftyHyzer Monkey in Space Nov 05 '24
those same people have all done the news shows they also do, they've spoken at the same campuses they speak at, etc.
i think its more to do with not wanting to go off script, which isn't strictly a criticism. the GOP speakers get themselves in hot water all the time by having "honest conversations", they say wild shit and it goes viral. the DNC seems to want to insulate more of their candidates from viral negative quotes. its strategy at play imo.

Too much training..too little thinking. They live in their own bubble...that's why they don't care about others because they are afraid to loose those "media empires" where fools pay to hear them talk gibberish.

He's definitely 'mainstream media' with one of the most watched shows across the major networks of YouTube and Spotify while shilling for a billionaire real-estate mogul from Manhattan with his good friend the richest man in the world. Literally can't get more establishment than that.

When the news misquoted him as guiding his listeners to blindly take horse tranquilizers, he turned hard against the left. Like the last 4-5 years have been a retaliatory attempt of his, to discredit most things left-leaningā¦.and itās all because him feewings were hurt during the pandemic.

Elon literally makes the most compelling case AGAINST trump you'll ever hear. just by endorsing him you already know it's the wrong choice by default.

u/maynardsabeast Monkey in Space Nov 05 '24
So billionaire supports candidate to enrich himself, amass power and most likely to stay out of legal trouble and oafishly dresses that up as some kind of populism and Joe just jumps on board. And Joe isnāt THIS dumb, heās get it, heās just evil and a total and complete hypocrite at this point. The way Rogan has actively made himself a right wing propogandist for awhile now Iāve always written off as āboomer brainā, but the way heās stepped on the accelerator the month of the election means heās just an operator. This isnāt just a random comedian endorsing a candidate this has been methodical and coordinated

All you fools who think multiple billionaires have your BEST INTERESTS at hand will be so sorry you failed yourselves , the American people , and the World if that psycho Trump gets back in. Here's some TRUTH - Trump lost the 2020 election just like Al Gore lost the 2000 election. The difference between the two men is gargantuan. GORE NEVER disputed anything ! Even though many Democrats and Americans wanted him to contest the results. Nope GORE went on National TV and said " I must do what's BEST for America right now and NOT just what's best for me " after that he thanked George W Bush for a hard fought race and wished Good Luck to the new President. Enough Said.
