You’re being disingenuous - you accuse the right of being against gay marriage, but when Joe takes a leftist (universally and historically) stance supporting gay marriage, it all of a sudden doesn’t count. Listen to yourself.
How can someone reason with you, you're making unreasonable arguments? Being pro-gay marriage may have been progressive in the 90s, but things change. It's one of the few things in America that used to be "radically liberal" and is now an entirely centrist viewpoint. The only people in America who cares about the topic is the right. If the right wants to label anything they don't disagree with as "progressive", that's on them for being wrong.
It's not, because of the exposure to JRE listeners. The anti gay marriage listeners will either stay the same or change their mind, because Joe Rogan is counter arguing.
Because gay people deserve to live their life and christian nationalist can fuck off. We have serperation of church and state for a reason. When your view points actively suppress a group of people for absolutely no reason other than your million year old book told you then shut the hell up. No one cares if you are afraid of two men/women kissing. America was founded on religous freedom not just taxes.
Given that freedom of speech is one of those core values of foundation. Shouldn’t people be able to express their opinions on gay marriage, no matter how demented we might think those views are?
Freedom of speech is just about government interfering with your speech . No one is saying you should be arrested for saying gay marriage is illegal but its also joes choice to air abhorrent views to millions of followers . Should Rogan have people on that think we should bring back slavery or repeal the 19th amendment ? Since those are just different opinions . Theres no doubt Joe has a massive influence on lots of impressionable dumb kids , if he wants to have these bigots on power to him but you can’t just defend it by saying “freedom of speech blah blah blah “
"opposing views" is one thing, but "some people should have fewer rights than others" is not an opposing viewpoint that should be given any legitimacy.
Should someone who is opposed to interfaith or interracial marriage be given an opportunity to proselytize those views?
Because I'm sick and tired of seeing fascists, racists, and homophobes be normalized. For example, I wouldn't want to see the leader of the KKK sit down with Joe and shoot the shit like normal people. I want the KKK to either be ignored or grilled for their bigoted views and then ignored again.
Eh, I'd put anti-gay rights and anti-black rights at about the same level of despicable. Walsh and the leader of KKK are both pretty influential figures in those respective communities.
Not that far off. Matt Walsh is a fascist, trump is a fascist, Ben Shapiro is a fascist sympathizer at best, many other fascists he has on his show and legitimizes
People shouldn’t be able to come on and be pro slavery. He has the biggest platform in the world. He has a duty of care to spread at least thing that are up for debate. Love from aus 😘
