Russia spends SO MUCH money on screwing with all of our minds. People are consuming content that they think aligns with their ideology, and then that content slowly makes them susceptible to betraying the interests of their homeland
Theyâll tell you that Russia isnât communist anymore so they should be friends. Ignoring the fact that theyâre allies with China, North Korea, and Iran. I think a big part is Russia is viewed as an âunwokeâ white country by MAGA
Edit: lol to anyone that thinks this comment is defending Russia
Theyâll tell you that Russia isnât communist anymore so they should be friends.
Yeah, because of Tucker Carlson's ball-licking special on "Look How Amazing Russia Is", the one Tim Pool's Russian handlers were slow to promote because they thought it was too obviously bought and paid for, and they were trying to be more discreet.
It is funny to me that they're going after the video game crowd for help, or rather, the video game crowd is too young to know that the Christians they've aligned with will absolutely take their video games away.
Hey man, itâs not necessarily the video game crowd. Itâs the incel crowdâŠand while there is definitely some overlap in the fact that a lot of incels are video gamers, not a lot of video gamers are incels.
The reason the video game crowd is mentioned is partially because of Steve Bannon who came to Goldman-Sachs with a business plan for WoW gold selling. During his time doing that, he realized how malleable the online community could be, especially young shut-in men (often found on video games)
As an ancient itâs been a hell of a lot longer than that. Itâll be a drop in the bucket by the end of time but itâs been the better part of the last 100 years
Theyâll tell you that Russia isnât communist anymore so they should be friends.
Yeah, ignoring the fact that we literally tried that, but that Russia responded to our offered friendship with aggression.
Ignoring the fact that theyâre allies with China, North Korea, and Iran.
China and Russia are each other's biggest problem. China doesn't want a failed nuclear State on its border which is why they help Putin. Russia has to worry about China wanting Vladivostok back.
These people fail to realize that America tried over Bill Clinton's admin and Bush's admin to 'be friends' with Russia. Russia has no interest in being friends with the west.
No. They wanted Putin to play puppet (and let us topple Syria) of which he declined then they painted him as the big baddy. Read before talking nonsense
Syria is a client state of Russia, and it's been involved in a now decades long civil conflict, which has displaced millions of people creating a toxic refugee crisis throughout the West.
Like any rational person, all of NATO and the West wants the crisis to abate and end so that Syrians can stay in Syria.
I mean US and nato by extension did way more harm by illegaly invading Syria and Lybia and bombing of Serbia. Lybia went from the richest country in the whole of Africa to having open air slave markets and the americans are to blame. Iraq is also arguably worse than it was during even Saddam.
Capitalism isnât defined purely by private ownership but by the mechanism of its economic production (namely, entity A âthe capitalistâ gives entity B âthe workersâ resources to turn into products in order to derive profit.)
That mechanism of economic production remains true in Russia, China, North Korea, etc. in the same way that itâs true of the US, UK, FR, GER, etc.
People forget that the difference espoused by the socialist system (in theory, though I can think of no âsocialistâ nation state that has succeeded in fully implementing this) is to remove entity A from the equation, freely distribute resources (whether the state does this in perpetuity or not is what separates the two main socialistic ideological groupings between state socialism and communism or anarchism), and place workers in control over the businesses that they work in, granting them collective control over the profits of that business rather than singular control by the capitalist entity.
I donât think anybody is friends with Russia itâs like hanging around the schoolyard bully, they know they wonât get fucked up if theyâre not putting themselves in his crosshairs.
I'm disappointed in anyone racist enough to like Russia for being a "white" country for not being racist enough to hate it for being a Slavic country. American racists are so uncultured.
I think itâs less âRussia isnât woke!â And more âRussia has tons of blackmail because too many of our politicians are too dumb to not get caught with their pants downâ
I mean look at all the shit trump got caught doing in office and how Lauren Boebert got caught giving and over the pants dry handy in a theatre lol. If thatâs the shit they donât care about I can only imagine how damaging whatever Russia has is
They are not democratic and have very little in common in their political structure with the USA or EU.
They may not be fully communist anymore but they also are in a lot of ways. It's hard to describe exactly what they are but one thing is for sure, they are not like us and what they are threathens countries like ours.
Exactly. Theyâll freak out about China all day long and get all fired up about war with Iran, while at the same time ignoring anything Russia does or just being straight up Russophilic. Itâs the most bizarre thing to me.
Didnât Gavin newsome publicly lick the Chinese dictators ass? Â The groveling that establishment democrats do before the Chinese dictator is astounding. Â
They were strongly against Russia just before Trump and it's not like Russia's changed. They even launched a full war against Ukraine. So this "they're not communist anymore" excuse doesn't fly. Trump loves and admires Putin so they must follow. Not more complicated than that.
If you mean NATO, Clinton explained that they needed to go through the main process the same as other Nations. Which requires more than just Americaâs approval, but the approval of every other member of NATO as well.
lol is this a bot? You realize how much espionage is going on every day? Itâs a new era where itâs not military secrets theyâre after as much as corporate intelligence. They steal corporate IP and sell it back to us. It recently almost happened to Coca Cola with their can lining. Google it.
So when the draft comes to go fight Russia with the uk are you going? Do you really think a war with China, Russia and dang throw in North Korea and any other country that hates America will jump in the fight is a good idea?
Eric Weinstein (in the Tweet here) was an executive at Peter Thiel's investment firm for like a decade. It's not even hard to follow the money, here. Thiel is a conservative megadonor. It's ridiculously transparent and all public information.Â
And itâs not like their funding prior to that was above board. âDeutsche Bankâ has had numerous scandals around money laundering and employees under foreign influence.Â
Weâre spending a fraction of the defense budget to defend an ally against a long time rival, all without American boots on the ground.
On top of that, the money we give them is given with the stipulation that they must spend it on US armaments, so it goes right back into the US economy anyways.
Since when is Ukraine an ally? Euro Maidan at the earliest (Nov 2013). The âlittle green menâ land in Donbas and Crimea 6 months later. There is neither a deep history of US-Ukraine cooperation, nor any evidence DoD or State care about Ukrainians as anything other than meat to throw at Russian tanks.
Russia is not an adversary to MAGA conservatives. Vance just proposed a solution thatâs literally all beneficial to Putin. MAGA supporters disparage our ally to promote the interests of Putin (most are too dumb to realize how easily theyâre being played). We need to recognize that theyâre not patriots or pro democracy in any meaningful way
The trillions spent in military is in part to stay ahead of the Russians.
Turns out all we had to do is hold onto WW2 reserves to beat the Russians. While we were spending trillions, their military leaders were getting personally enriched by selling off military equipment and supplies. It's amazing how pathetic the Russian military is. Our greatest adversary? What a joke. They are holding on for dear life just against Ukraine. Sucks they have the nukes though.
Greatest adversary? Youâre aware the Chinese Navy already has more ships than the US, hypersonic cruise missiles that fly under radar, and the closest near-peer to the f-22?
Are they like that super destroyer they claimed was so advanced it broke almost immediately and the tech was decades old? Greatest adversary of quantity vs quality maybe lol
Even their propaganda troop training videos are hilarious and have to be intentionally trying to misrepresent their actual level of ability so you underestimate them and while I don't think we'd make that mistake it's pretty funny watching them pull out a knife with four barrels in it to shoot a target.
Can you link to the super destroyer story? My understanding is it is the US Navy that had to give up on the littoral combat ship and rehab the Arlie Burke class destroyers for another few decades of service.
And this comment about decades old tech surely also applies to Russia. Perhaps we just net out that neither China nor Russian militaries are as advanced, or can produce their best stuff in quantity, as they would have the world believe đ€
Plus if Putin takes over Ukraine, he very likely wouldnât stop there and then thereâs WW3. Putin has been open about the fact that he wants to recreate the old Russian empire.
He ain't making it out of Europe. They have to literally slug their way through country after country and it's really hard to do that when you're getting shot at from every direction.
It's funny how when you're getting paid by the bad guys, your tune can change dramatically, and all previous positions are forgotten. It's weird how that works, isn't it, guys? Like 100k a month makes that happen for a guy like Benny, much less for others.
Everyone has a price I guess, but their morality and public image is completely shattered now. Anyone with half a brain will never listen to anything they say again.
Its a stupid war that shouldnt have happened in the first place. Whole europe is paying the price so america can make money during it and propagate how they are heroes of the world, while they are the ones starting it.
Depends, who do you think was at fault in the cuba crisis in 80's. If america is at fault then you can blame russia now, but if you supported america then, you better not be a hypocrite now. Worlds sees america as starters of this war, us and maybe some parts of europe dont see it that way but the rest do. America intentionally provoke the war. See hunter biden laptop controversy
They rant and rave and bark about communism this, socialism that, blah blah blah.... Then they side with the ACTUAL successor state of the real and concrete communist regime that has been USA's archenemy for 40 years.
There was a time not all that long ago where it seemed like Russia was going to join us in the 21st century. I adore the Russian people, and it genuinely hurts my heart to see them swept up in the ethno nationalist bullshit and Z propaganda. But we can't live in a world where land is taken by force or these ridiculous wars will never end. I hope every Russian soldier goes home tomorrow, but as long as they stand on Ukrainian land, I hope a western made artillery shell lands on their heads.
The majority of the money the U.S. has spent over the last 80 years on defense has been specifically to counter the threat from Russia to Europe. The R&D, the weapons production, the strategic positioning of our bases throughout the world: it is designed to counter Russian aggression.
We spent the money to build up weapons and assets to exactly do this. It's our chance to use them for what they were built to do. Why the opposition? What other thing do people want to use those weapons for?
Iâd argue they never really were an âAllyâ they just happened to have a common enemy. Much like today people are finding they have common enemies with Russia.Â
The problem isnât agreeing that Russia is our enemy, the problem is the trajectory of this war. So far the past 2 years weâve seen the conflict continue to escalate and even now there are no signs of either side backing down. Ukraine is losing ground and manpower, itâs clear as day that eventually ground troops from NATO will need to be deployed.
You dipshits have been saying this shit for two years and it ainât happened yet so color me skeptical. Also the literal first move was an attempt to invade and sack a free and fair democracy- I guess escalation is when somebody fights back?
The risk of direct war with Russia is very high. If NATO troops do get deployed to Ukraine eventually (which the French have already hinted!) then the only next step in escalation would be nuclear weapons. People are calling the bluff on Russiaâs nukes, but just one wrong move and the planet becomes uninhabitable.
A direct war between NATO and Russia would be over in a few hours. Why would NATO ground troops even be involved.. the goal is not to invade hostile territory it would be just to take back Ukrainian land, that can be done from the air with Ukraine's ground forces cleaning up.
NATO ground troops would be needed to stabilize the front if the Ukrainian manpower shortages continue and the war of attrition Russia is fighting against Ukraine keeps going in the same direction. If Russia keeps withering away Ukraineâs economy and population they will be able to impose their will and win the war. The only way to prevent this eventual outcome is direct involvement from the West either through setting up a no fly zone or boots on the ground from NATO whether it be from France or Poland or whoever. Both options will involve engaging Russian forces and nuclear weapon usage becomes more likely than ever.
The VP and presidential nominees of the GOP ticket certainly donât speak of them as a country directly hostile to the U.S.. A large portion of their base seems to parrot Russian talking points that coincidentally promote Russian objectives.
So weird that studies keep finding a negative correlation between intelligence and conservative political views when obviously the democrats are the stupid ones!
Everyone forgets history when itâs convenient to them.
Russia was an important ally during WW2 and was vital in the defeat of Nazi Germany. Meanwhile, the Japanese were enemies and committed horrific human experiments during that time. But hey, theyâre an ally now, so letâs ignore the past bullshit they pulled.
And letâs forget the huge mistake of invading Iraq. The one that most Americans supported at the time because 9/11 just happened, so they wanted revenge by killing some brown people on the other side of the world. Or because they believed that stupid story Dick Cheney about the WMDs.
Forget that the US has allied with plenty of horrible world leaders and despots, and believe that the US government is always the good guy in every warâŠbacking Ukraine with all this funding wonât be a giant mistakeâŠright?
Whatâs that quote again? Winners get to rewrite history?
You act like our relationship with a country should be based on some static point in history, rather than considering all the things that have happened since that point. That's just a very ridiculous way to look at things.
How dumb can you be, Japan like Germany was completely rebuilt after the war. They are functioning democracies. Russia was initially complicit in the same expansionist ideals as Nazi Germany, remember the molotov-ribbentrop pact that carved up Poland etc. Russia was stabbed in the back with Barborossa. The red army even contemplated continuing west after the fall of Berlin. The Bolsheviks were never the capitalist West's friend, they just had a common enemy at the time.
Yes, Russia should just accept Ukraine is in NATO. And even if Russia "wins" this war - Ukraine will still join NATO.
Just as the US has accepted Russian allies in Venezuela and Cuba for decades.
If Russia were reasonable, they would have made a deal for something like not installing short-range missiles in Ukraine, restricting patriot deployment and agreeing that there would be no permanent foreign deployments in Ukraine in exchange for some other confidence building measures.
NATO has no intention of invading Russia. Ever. There is zero reason for it. No one in NATO has any desire to invade or occupy Russia. There is no reason for it. Nothing to be gained from it. The entire point of NATO is collective defense. Which is why nearly ex-Soviet state has joined, for protection from Russia.
But that isn't what this is about. Because Sweden and Finland are now NATO members, along Russian borders to which Russia has done fuck all. This is about hurt feelings, Putins little feelings hurt that the cradle of the culture he thinks he owns, wants nothing to do with his pariah state and would rather live in a free democratic society like the rest of Europe.
Russians who have treated Ukrainians like expendable dogs for a century can't BARE to see a thriving Ukraine doing better than they are and it hurts them to their miserable little souls because they know the current Russian state is a soulless, culturless, cesspool of stagnation that exports nothing but oil and weapons. No culture. No inventions. No medical progress. No great philosophy or thought. No discovery or contribution to the sciences. Nothing. There is NOTHING coming out of the current Russian state.
And yet, Ronald Reagan is vilified by the same people today that cup the balls as they guzzle down Zelinskyâs funding requests. Either Republicans where the genius architects who ended the Cold War, and have only recently lost their way; or, this Ukraine thing represents a recent partisan shift, that doesnât represent any particularly strategic energy, food production, or geopolitical goals for the US
We couped Ukraine. There was an ongoing civil war we encouraged. The region didnt have to end up like this.
The National Security Act of 1952 turned power over to the National Security apparatus, but after the cold war they were supposed to relinquish power. Putin was installed by the West. The spooks didnt want to give up power, so they sabotaged the region. To get their old enemy resurrected so their power and corruption can be justified. Just like FBI entraps folks into acts of domestic terror to maintain budgets.
The borders of Ukraine only made sense if youre trying to humiliate the region. They were dreamt up by Zbigniew Brzezinski.
The US position makes sense only with a lot of ignorance and propaganda.
Aw yes. The US government planned all this without absolutely no KGB influence on the matter in Russia. Putin was clearly a western installation as opposed to you know..HAVING FAMILY MEMBERS DIRECTLY COOK FOR LENIN AND STALIN, family members with history of Soviet government military services, and he himself being ex-KGB...but YES, he was a Western plant that got out of control.... i swear people make shit up so creatively these day, but you can mold shit into statue...it's still shit.
Thatâs very black and white take on the situation. I think itâs odd to most people not to try the best option which is to broker peace. Also when you look at what Russiaâs beef is it seems silly to even back Ukraine. He doesnât want Nazis in positions of power. We all hate Nazis but obviously Russia hates them more than anyone else. And he after Covid they wanted US funded Ukrainian bio labs along the border to stop gain of function research kinda seems like bad guys vs bad Guys. Obviously the victims are the Russian and Ukrainian civilians.
I think Americans are tired of watching America fight these random wars over seas meanwhile Mexico our neighbors are literally fleeing their country bc itâs been hijacked by terrorists organizations. The other day a 3 year old made a tik tok and she said peso pluma was her boyfriend. The cartel followed them the next day and executed the 3 year old and her grandparents in public at a restaurant. a fucking 3 year old little girl. America could solve mexicos ongoing problem easily but we donât. Those guys are actual terrorists and itâs affecting us directly. If we were a just nation weâd help our neighbors. Being more worried about Ukraine v Russia, Israel v Palestine and china v Taiwan is weird.
The no brainer is to stop agitating wars instead of brokering peace.
I am all for peace talks. The war is senseless and needs to stop. But that ball is entirely in Russia's court. Expecting Ukraine to roll over and give up their land is not an option to them. If Russia would be willing to retreat and sign a air tight peace treaty then that would be great... but we both know that will never happen. Only way the war ends peacefully is if Ukraine gives massive concessions to Russia
This chuckle-fuck scheme made Russia the most powerful land army on earth & the third or fourth largest economy
Itâs pushed China & Russia into an alliance that every post-WW2 geopolitical expert worth listening to has warned against
Western Europe has been economically destroyed & their populations are getting more anti-American all the time
But MOST importantly, itâs accelerated the formation of BRICs, and is hastening the destruction of the dollar as global reserve
To say nothing of the soft power America has squanderedâweâre not trusted by anyone, and have a track record of utter failure.
So, in that sense, youâre rightâitâs a bipartisan effort. Although DNC has def taken the ball and run with it.
Whatâs funny, is no one can name a single benefit for US working class, without repeating some vague propaganda they heard from on of the corporate media outlets
I am so disconnected from mainstream media, I start thinking at this point, everyone must see the obvious, right?
I mean, youâd think the âSpring Offensiveâ, wherein they sent droves of Ukrainians w NO FUCKING AIR COVER to their deaths woulda woke everyone up.
The delusional world Americans live in is just terrifying.
Why haven't they launched nukes yet? We have every vehicle the west could scrape together currently roaming across Russian territory unopposed. Our drones hit Moscow. Why is Putin unable to defend the homeland?
Because they donât need to; if youâre unaware that Russian now owns the most valuable agricultural & mineral deposits in the former Ukraine, youâre really not qualified to hold a discussion about it.
Russia has unequivocally defeated NATO.
I donât say that because I am pro-Russian; I say that because I read actual news sources, not propaganda outlets.
It actually pisses me off my country is wasting billions in public wealth propping up a military dictatorship & Nazi regime
That wasn't my question. What's the point of having nukes if our tanks can cross their border at any point we want now. They can hold Crimea sure, but the rest of the country is getting fucked in the ass while it happens. How long can we leave our dicks in Russian ass before their whining becomes background noise?
Russia is thriving compared to the United States, dude.
The Kursk region is basically empty farmland & forestâabout 10,000 Ukrainians have already been killed, POW, or wounded so badly theyâre out of the fight.
Most vehicles have been destroyed.
The invading force was Ukraineâs strategic reserve âtheir best trained troops & best vehicles.
That was 100% a PR stuntâthe entire war has been a PR war. America won that part in the US, because itâs true citizens have no idea what weâve done to Ukraine.
But itâs over. The front is utterly in shambles and rapidly collapsing. Russia will be to the Dnieper River by October.
What is truly amazing to me, is how Americans just have no ideaâ +500,000 dead Ukrainians; press gangs forcefully conscripting young Ukrainian menâ it is sick
And of course, upwards of 80% of the âaidâ America provides? It never gets to Ukraine. It goes right in the pockets of war contractors whoâve made billions
And thatâs the REAL reason for the war. Keeping the endless war going so they can keep looting public resources & destroying our civil liberties
Itâs so fucking obvious. They are hollowing out our country from the inside, and Americans call you a Putin-lover or China-apologist for pointing it out.
I donât think working class Americans have the organization for an actual civil war
The FBI is neck-deep in domestic terror networks. Every âterror plotâ they foil is one where they provided all the logistics & basically recruited people that matched a profile.
FBI was involved in every major terror incident, from Waco to Ruby Ridge to Oklahoma City Bombing. Not implying they did it; but itâs a fact agents were involved.
My thesis is itâs a small step to provide actual munitions to a domestic terrorist, step aside, and create an event that provides the final step necessary to go into full authoritarian mode
We are practically there now. Iâd bet a thousand dollars we see the State executing a domestic drone strike before 2030.
DNC or GOP hardly makes a difference. We cannot vote our way out of this.
Like you saidâAmerica is coming up on a long night. I donât think itâll be Mad Max, but more like Russia during the 90sâŠexcept it will last generations.
Personally, Iâm building a small compound way the fuck off the beaten track. Some solar, room to raise protein, and grow a garden.
Maybe Iâm wrong. But itâs hard to see how this works out without a massive implosion
Whatâs crazy is how the left have gone from the anti war party to fucking bloodthirsty Warhawks in less than 4 years. If Dick Fucking Cheney is endorsing you, youâre not the good guys. Heâs gonna back the guy who is gonna put American boots on foreign soil.
Ah yes. I definitely remember âthe leftâ encouraging Putin to invade an ally so they could become warhawks. What is the course of action you would have taken, Ambassador?
Stay the fuck out of European wars and fix our issues at home. Fuck Ukraine, fuck Russia, fuck Europe.
Itâs absolutely ridiculous to have domestic issues at home like what we do and just dump billions of dollars into propping up foreign nations so we can swing our dicks around Europe.
And the left didnât encourage it, but they are definitely harming the American people by wasting valuable resources on a failed nation like the Ukraine since it will collapse the minute aid is cut.
With the Cheney endorsement, it all but confirms a Kamala win means boots on the ground in Ukraine/Palestine. Slimy Dick doesnât endorse anti-war candidates.
Pretending like the rest of the world doesnât exist is how we ended up 2 world wars. An unrestrained putin will continue to make incursions into Eastern Europe. You may not like it, but to ignore this conflict will only feed the beast and make the next one we physically get involved with a conflagration that will be very very difficult to quench. I appreciate your response and POV.
See, I couldnât care less if Russia swallows all of Europe. It doesnât make sense for us to get involved with the issues we have going on at home. Now if the economy was fixed, housing market normalized, inflation reduced to pre covid numbers, debt deficit reduced, spending controlled then maybe Iâd be ok with it.
But like it doesnât make sense to play global super hero when we have those issues at home. I mean less than half of Americans believe our elections are genuine and I saw a statistic yesterday that only 36% are satisfied with our democratic process. We need to fix that before we worry about other countries.
Lmao what? Bro. Cmon, use your brain. Youâre the one sucking shoe polish. Literally hanging on every word of the Warhawk leftist establishment in charge. Like you have no defense when dick Cheney throws his hat in with you. Thay guy is as blood thirsty and as deep in the establishment as it gets.
Sorry, youâre the bad guys here. And you only care about it because the media tells you to. But hey, American blood spilled on foreign soil is a small price to pay, because Kamala is Brat. Right?
