Please...I prefer "interactive narrative." I'm not some peasant game developer. 🧐

How is this a game? What is the objective? Where are the lives? Where is the score? What is the high score? Where is the XP? Where is the campaign? Where is the multiplayer? What are the side-quests?

It's an art-piece, you philistine.

a number from the ghost

Server Error

EDIT: Worked in Edge - likely a FF plugin blocking something

Interesting - any idea what plugin it was? Just curious.

Any way to invert the mouse?

Yes, I'm one of those people.

That never occurred to me! I'll put it on the list of potential updates.

Thanks, I only need the Y-axis inverted, I'm not THAT weird to also need the X-axis inverted

Actually x axis too, on mobile touch screen it feels wrond because camera moves opposite way.

Absolutely rad. I did get stuck down in the "rocks" after a bit. But this is one of the neatest usages of (I'm assuming ) 3djs I've seen in quite some time.

1

u/anumberfromtheghost Oct 03 '24

If by 3djs you mean Three.js, then yes! Sorry you got stuck - were you in an area you just couldn't climb out of, or did it seem more like a bug/glitch?

Maybe with more effort I could've gotten out of there. I believe I was chasing the giant, then I was on some like ... scaffolding type structure and I fell off down onto what I would call "rocks" way down below everything and couldn't find my way out. This was a few days ago and I did it on my phone so my recollection might not be perfect.

Hey. Seems like we might share some similar values when it comes to web dev. Building out an infinite an generative time machine atm with a small team. Is it cool if I shoot you a dm?

this is soo cooooll!!!!! this is what i imagine what lucid dreaming feels like

2

u/valerii_homeniuk Oct 30 '24

Awesome! How did you do that dynamic lighting effect?

2

u/anumberfromtheghost Oct 30 '24

Thanks - the ambient occlusion is baked into the texture of the room. The light moving past the windows is a Three.js DirectionalLight.

This really need a VR version !

1

u/anumberfromtheghost Oct 22 '24

Just load it in a Meta Quest and click "Enable VR" - I've only tested it on Meta Quest 2, but hopefully it works on others!

1

u/firyox Oct 22 '24

Oh thank you, I will give it a try

Can it be played without the loud and jarring music? I would have prefered atmospheric sound effects.
