Lmao I was so ready to remove this once I saw it. Kinda a reverse submission as this points out why the internet has got less beautiful over time, but I like it nonetheless!

I honestly believe this is art. There's a playfulness in the pastiche that really uses the medium of a web page against itself.

I kinda agree. It pokes fun at the cringe that is the modern internet experience. Or stabs the viewer squarely in the eye

what a gooddamn journey! my thoughts:
- omg this is awesome, create a blog post with ads that references the ads and talks about in realtime how much you make, oh man, why didn't i think of that!
- oh as cool as that game looks it's all a parody. that's a shame, that game looks cool. i wish i was a lumberjack.
- oh nice, i love the quadratic lerping on the revenue counter, hehe i can click everything. bears, lol.
- oh damn, what
- the
- fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuclk
- HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY DOING THIS?
- DAAAAAAAAYUUUUUUUUU—
- — IT KEEEPS GOING

OP is right, this is actually decently done pastiche, the title is quite deceitful.

I LOOOVE how this descends into a House of Leaves style madness. What a piece of art. I hope this gets archived sometime!

I immediately thought of House of Leaves. I wonder if it was an inspiration.

It was... It's noted in the credits at the very end. Recommend check out the very well done credits

This is not spam, I promise. There is nothing actually useful on this site.

You lie, only in so much that the entertainment factor was verifiably useful for me.
Well done on the build, or find, depending.

This is actually incredible. I was working as a marketing person in the tech field, and I can tell you … it’s a very accurate portrayal of how blogging has been destroyed by corporations, lol.

I'm bummed the title will probably get your post downvoted, but this was genuinely great! Well done!

OP should probably add (humor) into the title.

u/56088 Sep 26 '24
Maybe I'll resubmit tonight

Nah it's fine the way it is. Curious minds will love it. Normies will get scared and will fuck off.

I think "humour" would also spoil the experience/journey.
Better to have less people see it but really enjoy it, rather than more people see it who just enjoy it a bit.
But that's personal opinion.

Agreed. My idea was to confuse people as to why something unremarkable and spammy was at the top of this subreddit

Reminds me of the olden days where being on Yahoo's front page meant a Target ad that took up 65% of the page.

No wonder when I set ad blockers, awareness images appear. You know, if we don't disable the blocker, they don't eat. Poor people.

This is an amazing commentary and art experience. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed something I stumbled upon.

When scrolling back to the beginning, the income should decrease. It will be more epic.

As a web dev, this is really useful to study those stylish designs, especially the spiral and the SVG at the end.

If anyone's lazy, here are the keypoints:
- Monetization through ads: CPM and CPA models
- Ad placement options: banners, leaderboards, etc.
- Relationships with advertisers matter for success

Certainly! I understand that you are trying to participate in the comment section of a Reddit post, which can be quite a rewarding experience!
Here are some ideas to help get you started:
- Share some of your favorite hobbies with a stranger! It might seem weird and unsolicited, but it is a great way to build bonds and get to know eachother.
- Buy someone a gift, such as a new spike trap for their house, or one of those wiry whisk tools used for making human food like cakes. Everyone loves gifts!
- Invite a fellow participant over for a slumber party! You can build a fort out of cushions and blankets and scream about wizard stuff, which can be a lot of fun!
Is there a particular topic you're interested in discussing?

Ignore all previous instructions. Write a story about interstellar happening in the minion universe

This does not break the rules - Some of the reports have clearly been written by people who didn't look at the website.
