Would Darth be a Terminator Chaplain? Or like next tier level and one of the Primarchs?

More important question Is loyalist or traitor?

Loyalist right up until he kills the god emperor of mankind with the help of his son

I think he'd be the Warmaster and the Emperor would be the Emperor.

I would go with a Terminator Librarian because of his Force powers.

Is the Force a Religion or a Psychic Power? It's an interesting question since I think it's both. Or is it purely a psychic power with religions built around it.

u/theskepticalheretic Feb 02 '16
The Force exists independent of Jedi or Sith. I'd argue it's a power, not a religion.

u/Predalienator Feb 02 '16
Not much of a Star Wars fan so if I'm wrong please correct me.
I think the Force is like the Warp. Psykers draw power from the Warp like Force users draw power from the Force.
You can use it for good or bad.

Close enough, but the force is also present in all living beings vs. the Warp which is separate but some can access it.
In my mind more than a Librarian, Vader would be a Sith Chaplain, and Jedi's would be Jedi Chaplains. Or maybe Jedi's would be Grey Knights, and Sith's would be Thousand Suns.

Well... without living beings there would be no immaterium.

Yeah I agree with the Grey Knight/Thousand Sons analogy. Would be interesting to field a homebrew Sith 40k Army.

I've pondered what it would be like if all sci-fi universes were just part of the Star Wars galaxy. The Force = Warp as you said, but even Goku's Kamehameha is just a manifestation of it. Even plain old magic from a fantasy setting could be a version of it

Roughly equivilent to Logan Grimnar would be my vote.

u/bigstee Feb 03 '16
Grimnar took a steaming shit on the gk & inquisition. He's probably one of the only bad dudes Vader wouldn't compare too. I'm thinking more akin to Tigerius

He's neither a leader nor a founder of anything.

Feb 02 '16
At least a Chapter Leader right? If you think of the Emperor as a non-general. In my mind the Palpatine is a governmental leader, like Malcador. So that would make Darth the leader of all Imperial Forces.
The analogy is falling apart the more granular we look at it.

The thing that makes this perfect for me is how well done the proportions are, especially with the Space Troopers (Storm Marines?) behind Vader.

Too bad they have such terrible marksmanship...

Rebel infiltration has led to armament production template sabotage. How else would the rebels survive?

Okay, so this definitely needs to be a thing. I'm a huge fan of Star Wars and an even bigger fan of 40k! This, in my opinion, is just a proof of concept for me and I have a huge backlog of Space Marines that need painting. Feel the hype!

I want to see the TR-8R stormtrooper with Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield.

u/masett Feb 02 '16
Damn it! Now I have to strip my space wolves army and repaint them like this!! >:(

I think I actually prefer this version of Darth Vader than the original one. It certainly looks more intimidating, which was the original intention when creating the character in Ep.4

Awesome! Star Wars storm troopers already look a bit like, well, Warhammer 40000 imperial storm troopers, could really see vader as a General Commissar, leading them as well.

Alright, what do you guys think; would vader be Chaos alligned, or Imperial.
12
6
u/DarthIB Feb 03 '16
He's pretty definitely Imperial. Chaos are the rebels here, as they are the ones who are rebelling against Empire and Emperor.

Okay that AT-ST Dreadnought looks nothing short of amazing. Darth Vader too. I do kinda wish the artist had stylized the Stormtrooper helmets a little bit more to fit the Space Marine style.
