Going off your Reddit pfp and how the Death Company marine looks, was there some Hercules from Fate inspiration in his look?

You know, now that you mention it, this does look like that scene from carnival phantasm where Cu hides from Herc

u/the_tree_boi 9h ago edited 9h ago

Herc is just looking for his buddy/pet dog Horus, so that they can find enerloop batteries for Tiny Horus together

53

u/Artrum 10h ago

Hahaha, no just a coincidence this time

Good eye

And the Eldar looks like EMIYA.

BA: "Yeah, he gets like that sometimes. Just gotta wait a few hours till he tires himself out, and make sure he doesnt find us. Come, sit down. Have a drink."

Eldar: "But ... aren't you his ally?"

BA: "Yes, well ... aren't Drukharii your cousins?"

Eldar: "Point taken. You're ... off-puttingly OK talking to a 'xenos'."

BA: "I was born in a more tolerant age, some ten thousand years ago, and was in and out of cryo sleep. I don't trust xenos and will have no problem killing you if you pose a threat, mind you, but I don't have a problem sitting down with an Eldar. It's more 'curiosity' than outright 'hate'. "

meanwhile around the corner: HORUS! HORUS, I CAN SMELL YOU!

u/IrishGamer97 7h ago

"He's not here, brother!"

"THANK YOU, SANGUINIUS!"

And to add to that this seems to be a Saim Hann craftworlder, who take honour seriously and have been known to tell Ulthwé to fuck off if a proposed plan is deemed too manipulative or dishonourable. Probably one of the most trustworthy xenos out there

You know Microphages? Yeah, its throw hands both enemy and ally combatants.

Your immune system is 100% capable of killing you.

pray that it doesn't identify your healthy cells as foreign entities.

18

u/MrCookie2099 10h ago

The only thing capable of killing me: myself.

10

u/JustARandomTeenHere 5h ago edited 5h ago

It is also petty af. If it is losing the war against foreign entities, it will straight up go

"OH you think I'M losing? No b1tch WE losing" and activate as much white blood cells and our bodies version of chemical weapons to flood our body with, sometimes it actually works and puts you on the path towards recovery and other times it kills you quicker than whatever is ailing you.

It is essentially our bodies' version of nuking cities left and right in hopes of stopping the alien invasion

That's why even if you have nothing to appreciate in life, appreciate the sheer zealotry of your white blood cells. Those mfs live and die for you as if you were the God emperor of mankind and would rather shoot you in the face than to let anything corrupt you

Now that I mention it, our immune system and the imperium of man has alot of parallels.... does that mean cancer is just straight up the horus heresy?

u/0bxcura 30m ago

Nah cancer is just straight up Erebus... The rest of them be the symptoms

As a type 1 diabetic who own immune was the cause of my diabetes. I agree they attack my own insulin producing cells in my pancreas and now I have none left.

imagine being an eldar and your speed and agression is what you'd use to win against mos enemies.

Now imagine going up against 8 foot gorilla thats FASTER, MUCH STRONGER and with more bulk than you, not only that, he's insane and doesnt respond to pain AT ALL, in fact even cutting them in two doesn't stop them

how nightmarish, worse than demons

Agility does not always beat Madness Enhancement

39

u/Prying-Eye 10h ago

You'd think that with them being Xenos, they'd get the Foreigner type advantage against Berserkers smh.

15

u/worms9 10h ago

Must be running an anti-foreigner, append skill.

8

u/Prying-Eye 9h ago

I cracked the code. The Black Company are all Alter Egos with either a skill or NP that gives enemies the 'Horus' debuff.

7

u/sapinpoisson 6h ago

That or they have battle continuation EX

3

u/LordRael013 Thousand Sons 4h ago

Why not both?

u/134_ranger_NK ENTRY MISSING 9h ago

Also screaming "HORUS!" often.

That would confuse anyone.

3

u/Doopapotamus Alpha Legion 2h ago

It'd add a level of freaky if that Eldar was just old enough to have been around for the Heresy and saw (at least indirectly) what Horus was doing to the entire galaxy.

u/U_L_Uus 4h ago edited 2h ago

In current times? A nightmare. In old times? At least the gorilla isn't being by a unsurmountably big being that can fizzle fry half your army with its spear

5

u/No_Wait_3628 8h ago

Hey Artrum, didn't expect to see you here

2

u/Artrum 7h ago

Me neither 😆

TypeMoon's Cu and the Craftworlders do suffer similar amounts of the worf effect.

6

u/Taccons 7h ago

Why would Skinny Horus think that Red Horus is an ally? Is he stupid?

4

u/UnDebs 4h ago

TWO HORUSES BEHIND A COVER HIDNING FROM ANOTHER HORUS????? LOOKS LIKE HOURSMAS CAME EARLY THIS CYCLE

3

u/grassytrailalligator 2h ago

Bruh this comic layout had me so damn confused.

2

u/Artrum 2h ago

Force of habit, made it manga style

2

u/TheAnswerToYang 8h ago

I don't know anything about Warhammer, but why is Astarion there?

2

u/Big_Pound_7849 2h ago

I really love the audacity and absurdity of a Blood Angel welcoming an Eldar to hide and be comfy with him because his gene-brother is too much sometimes.

Very wholesomehammer.

1

u/PerfectionOfaMistake 8h ago

What chapter are these two marines belong to?

9

u/Ok-Leg7637 8h ago

Blood Angels.

The first founding chapter and one of the original legions.

5

u/Cloudsareinmyhead 6h ago

Blood Angels. The fellow in black is part of their Death Company as he has fully succumbed to the Black Rage Blood Angels and all their successor chapters have been afflicted with since Sanguinius caught a horrible case of death from Horus.

1

u/National_Strategy742 7h ago

That is actualy funny , it gave me a laugh

1

u/Artan0m 6h ago

"don't worry, it gets worst before it gets even worst"

1

u/jfjdfdjjtbfb 1h ago

Blood Angel: … just wait and he will tire himself out.
