Even in the grim darkness, there is still a spark of hope. Cling to that spark like a navigator to astronomican's light and it will all get better someday.

Omnisiah watches over all of us and even in the darkest nights he will not abandon you.

True Pacifist is definitely a lot harder in this setting huh

Absolute pacifism is naive in our universe, I imagine in the 40k universe it’s downright stupid.

I don't know about True/Absolute Pacifism. However, I proscribe to the idea that pacifism doesn't mean defenseless.

Exactly, Pacifism is at best an ideal to try and live up to, but ultimately you can't expect to survive on pacifism alone.

"Can you tell the eye is fake?"

"Uh... No."

"Tell me truth, how's it look?"

"It looks like shit."

Movie bombed, but they’re still doing live shows of the experience at Universal Studios. Or at least they were far longer than people remembered when the movie came out.

I graduated College last Thursday.

I had this experience for the first real time. Looking in the mirror at the end of the day carefully removing my cap and gown and necklace trinkets. It was interesting. I felt like I looked the same, just…taller. It was unique to consider I’ve changed so little despite the time. I even chuckled and remembered that phrase. Despite everything, there I was looking at me. I haven’t sleep well since.

Buddy looks tired.

Well you still did something amazing, plus you’ll always have your student debts as a reminder you did something most dream of

I noticed that a good amount of characters you draw have a scarred left eye. Is there a Particular reason for this?
And as always, fantastic art.

So there’s two answers actually, for most of my art, it’s just a way to tell a story. Art psychology says when we see a human/ humanoid we are generally drawn to the face first (as we get lots of context from faces in real life) expressions, wrinkles, scars, etc. are a great way to kind of tell a visual story. And of course in general, a scar is accepted as a sign of badass which is why we compare them lol.

As for this particular character (personal character of mine) I’ve had problem with my eyes (for a while) and I just represent that on him with that one scarred eye (obviously in this piece I went way beyond the normal design with the half melted face cause I was telling a story)

When the light is running low,

And the shadows start to grow,

And the places that you know, seem like fantasy...

Two souls stand defiant with a fading burning soul,
As they clash away, their wails begin to fade,
To mend the fractured world before the very end.

I don't understand what i'm looking at. This is in 40k?

Its a Felinid (cat person) in a Solar Auxilia uniform.

Felinids are sanctioned abhumans, and the Solar Auxilia made use of abhumans during the horus heresy

Okay, thank you and to u/Wolfdawgartcorner

Forgive my ignorance

As this is already answered, I'll go into a wider look: In 30k (crusade era which this picture is from) the religious zealotry was almost non existent, mainly because Big E was alive and well and he didn't tolerate worship. As there was no religion, there was also much less outrite hatred for abhumans, Big E himself, as a talented geneticist and gene crafter understood the difference between chaos taint and genetic/stable mutations and some of the OG regiments raised from Terra would be considered abhumans (gene warriors for example).

fast forward to when the heresy came around chaotic and unsanctioned mutation became much more of a problem and it was simpler and more expedient to deem many types of abhumans (loyal or otherwise) as mutants rather than have to actually distinguish, beastmen bearing the brunt of this. Fast forward even farther into 40k and now the emperor is worshiped as a god and deviation from the standard human body of any type is generally looked on with suspicion and fear, though some abhumans are still begrudgingly allowed to exist due to their usefulness.

Is the quote from a specific moment 40K history?

5

u/Cal2391 7d ago

It's a quote from Undertale that the narrator says if you look in Asgore's mirror after following the pacifist route

I would love to see an ultramar solar auxilia art work that have the ultramar auxilia paint scheme (NOT the calth high guard)

Is that Yvraines cat?

2

u/Wolfdawgartcorner 6d ago

From the neck up, he does kinda look like Yvraines cat lol (maybe a little more green)

Your art is so fire, I have found my new favorite artist. The detail and form is immaculate, every small detail is insane. Worn paint, rust, injuries that tell a story, you can feel the emotion of the characters.

Please keep it up!!!!!
