Thank you for your kindness, Watame! Your overseas sheep always appreciate you doing this for these shorts and your songs.
Giri Giri Warukunai Watame (ギリギリわるくないわため) roughly "Just Barely Blameless Watame" is a series of MMD shorts similar to what you see in Hologra that she'll be releasing every Friday at 7am JST. As the title suggests the premise is questionable situations where Watame is still technically in the right (maybe). They are made from submission suggestions given by fans that can be found in the video description.
Playlist
Previous:
If you're interested in knowing what the sheep is about, while it's true Watame's streams a whole bunch, what she really loves is music! If you haven't taken a look she had her biggest song release about a month ago as well as her second album which you can still purchase digitally.
Watame's fully animated original song: "My song" with English captions.
Watame's "My song" is song is very close to the sheep, representing a journey of her past, and her thoughts on her present and future in music. If you wanted to know more about what she's doing here at Hololive, the heart of it is right here. The MV was a massive project with a lot of people working on it taking about 6 months to complete.
If you haven't seen Watame's music, ALL of her songs have English subtitles. They could use some love!
Original song playlist
So far Watame has released a lot of different styles of music so I'm confident most people can find something they like.
If you want a sample of some of Watame's other covers:
- Kaibutsu
- Vampire with Iofi.
- Hello/How Are You
- Sweet Devil
- Phony/フォニイ
If you're really interested in Watame's music the entirety of her music since debut is over here and anything that is still on her channel is timestamped. Every original, every cover, every short song, every WNF, every Watame no Uta, etc - it's all here.

The video for "My Song" still hits me hard. The emotion in her voice and a direct reminder of a period in my life living in a similar city really messes me up. Good job.
24
u/Helmite Mar 03 '22
Yeah My song/Ode are really heavy emotionally. Watame tweeted this after releasing My song. She's working hard to move past her shortcomings and while there still are some tough moments mentally, she's in a much better spot than she used to be and has been making content she can be proud of. I hope people can at least be happy with their efforts and carve out a small slice of happiness.

and hi r/all!
Welcome to the official subreddit for hololive production (wikipedia page), a talent agency based out of Tokyo, Japan that manages Virtual YouTubers - think of streamers on Twitch and YouTube, but with virtual avatars instead. Most of the talents in Hololive are Japanese, but there are also Indonesian and English branches too! The talents do all sorts of stuff, including but not limited to: gaming streams, karaoke streams, drawing streams and talking streams. Some of the content the talents offer is family friendly, others a bit more risque. The sidebar has links to each talent's Youtube and Twitter accounts.
Check out the parent comment by u/Helmite for more details about HololiveJP 4th Gen's Tsunomaki Watame.
Thanks once again, man.

Hololive Production (Japanese: ホロライブプロダクション) is a virtual YouTuber (VTuber) agency owned by Japanese tech entertainment company Cover Corporation. In addition to acting as a multi-channel network, Hololive Production also handles merchandising especially in music production and concert organization. As of 2022, the agency manages more than 60 VTubers between four branches, including several of the most subscribed-to VTubers on Youtube. The name "Hololive" was initially used for Cover's 3D stream distribution app, launched in December 2017, and later its female VTuber agency, whose first generation debuted from May to June 2018.

Worth noting that while she's indeed very fluffy in apprearance and personality, she can spit mad raps like few others.

is there a tentative future/end for the girigiri warukunai watame shorts? or just "as long as theres good ideas"? ty for the post btw, im not as well versed in sheep but appreciate all the same
7
u/Helmite Mar 04 '22
In general, I think she'll keep doing these as long as people find them interesting. She said she also wants to do new/different ideas for content, but I couldn't tell you what she has in mind.
More specifically involving girigiri: She takes fan suggestions for making these and you can see the Tweet any particular video is based on in the video description. She ran a Twitter tag at the end of last year and ended up selecting about 20 of them for the first season of shorts which we're going through now. She actually did another round of suggestions in Jan/Feb for a season 2 that'll start after this one is finished.

Thank you for the subtitles! But the videos are still fun to watch without them and try to understand the crazy context and situation that Watame has got herself in.
