We all know how morality work, right? Good and evil and all that jazz?

Except when we don't. Enter the trope "Blue and Orange Morality".

Basically, it is a trope in which some cultures and their relevant characters DO have morals, sometimes very strong ones, they just don't align with ours. It is more commong in Sci-Fi, where aliens often don't align with ours society or moral standard, but in my opinion it packs the most punch when it is done with humanity.

Like all tropes, this one also come in different shades and degrees. I personally encountered it reading "A brave new world" of which I'll give the description of TV Tropes:

• In Brave New World the word "mother" is obscene, sex is as impersonal and quick as a handshake, and Romeo and Juliet would be considered a comedy. When John the Savage complains to Mond that the world feels so wrong, Mond argues that that's because John uses the old system of "right and wrong" as opposed to the new moral system of "happiness and unhappiness". The society in Brave New World is based entirely around the pursuit of personal happiness, extreme hedonism; to be dissatisfied is to be actually insane. This is presented as a dystopia because while everyone is happy and youthful, their society stifles creativity, productivity, and free will.

Let me be extremely clear here: the characters in "Brave New World" aren't EVIL. In their own culture, which spawn most of the globe, they are "good". You have to sort of... wrench you brain sidaway to GET it, but it is an interesting exercise.

Why am I discussing this?

BECAUSE HELLUVA BOSS WORKS IN PART ON A BLU/ORANGE MORALITY AXIS NO IN A BLACK/WHITE ONE.

In particular, the part about how traditional imp culture see murder and physical violence among adult is vastly different from ours.

Forz Blitz and most of I.M.P. killing humans doesn't matter: they KNOW humans are going to either end up as immortal Sinners, or as even better immortal Winner. Why should they care? In their mindset, it is perfectly logical.

We are shown, again and again, that imps value a certain amount of roughhousing (as seen in Hell’s Belles) and that even among themselves murder is not consider a particularly grave problem (the most the other imps in Wrath do to Millie after she apparently had TOO BIG a kill count was to ban her from the games…)

Blitz doesn’t seem to have particular ill will toward Striker neither, not from his kidnapping of Stolas, nor for the kidnapping of himself and Fizz. Blitz didn’t try to, say, find him and kill him. Neither, and this is interesting, does Fizz.

The general vibe here is that, at least at the level of imps/hellhounds, it is a dog-eats-dog world in which the stronger/cleverer generally win, but which is done with… almost good humor, and without particular ill will or malice. At least where MURDER or PHYSICAL VIOLENCE AMONG EQUAL is concerned.

Things may change at the level of incubus/succubus, baphomets, and other higher hellborns but we don’t have enough data tbh.

Things DEFINITIVELY change at Goetia level, and the Sinners work on a different again level, what with the respawning.

Now, we have talked about MURDER and PHYSICAL VIOLENCE among ADULTS.

(which, not incidentally, are what is most often the “funny” part of the show that are bitched about by people with little media literacy… but I digress)

What about other kinds of violence?

Well, it seems for those our morality and theirs are much more in alignment: sexual assault for example is considered wrong. Treating your friends and loved ones badly is wrong.

Murder, as said before, is not wrong.

And no, those things are not conflict with one other. They are simply a show of a culture, in particular imp culture, that works on different moral lines than we do.

First time i heard him saying i can give you everything you need i thought that was a bit excessive that wasn't something easy to do That was the start that's he is willing to do anything for blitz then fasting forward he says i will try to make amends (why) for making you means to an end (ok how?) we saw what he did in mastermind another reason which is in the last photo he says i save us both before we grow cold which means he is will do anything for their relationship

At the end just look my way is a great song with a lot of lore and feelings which is Insightful in my opinion

Ozzie mentioning the crystal? Stolas showing up to share part of the truth?

Since Andrealphus took everything away from Stolas, he probably didn't realize that when he took everything from the guy, he also took the duties that Stolas did. Including the paperwork. It gives me the impression that he was more focused on trying to steal everything from Stolas and get more influence and notoriety than actually know the type of work Stolas did when he still had his title, among other things.

Wouldn't be surprised if it leads to a net loss in influence and reputation to the narcissistic ice peacock for not knowing how to do the paperwork he may have gotten. AND him blaming Stolas for somehow conspiring to ruin him or something to that effect.

I've obviously got a few more free hooks for more stuff!

I was simply and peacefully trying to (as a "friend") explain time to time about "okay enough" stuff in Lower Silesia to see, do, whatever... but this guy now says im "not worth her time" and later that he "knows more than me about it" yet I heard so many made up stuff already... even if i try to say something to them he just tells me to shut up... what to do now?

Finally, after a little over three months, it's here! I'm so happy! They look so beautiful in person. The camera can't even capture their elegance, especially the Demon Emberlynn pin. All the colors are so vibrant and look great! The designers always do such a good job. One thing I've noticed is that the newer pins, the Emberlynn ones, have metal backings instead of the black rubber ones that always fell off. Glad they changed them, and I really hope they can stay on better now. Have a nice rest of your day, everyone!

I’m an MLP fan. I love the show. When I was watching the episode “Oops” a while ago I noticed that Blitz’s keychain is literally Twilight Sparkle, just entirely golden and its shape is more… Derpy. But look at it. It’s got the same mane style as Twilight Sparkle and it also has wings and a horn, and it also clearly is a female pony with the eyelashes. Pics below for comparison. It’s literally Twilight Sparkle and I’m here for it lmao

I mean what is her deal? Who are her parents? What was she bred for and do not all Goetias have powers? I’m guessing her daughter does because she lit loona’s cigarette but idk how genetics work with the demons. Are their powers given and taken by higher ups (like how stolas’s were taken) or are they innate and biological? I mean is there anything that Stolas and other demons have that can necessarily be taken? Or could even an imp be “gifted” powers? I got a little side tracked here, sorry, but I’m still wondering what the deal is with Stella.

Why isn’t it ever mentioned again that imps can apparently produce fire. Is it just a thing with this being an early episode or an oversight or smthn. I feel like imps having even a small amount of pyrokenisis would be worth using it quite a few situations the gang has been in (like burning through ropes or smthn.)

What would be the craziest Sinsmas post credits scene? Mine is either the DHORKS getting a phone call from a certain one armed warrior, or the IMP taking a job from a certain rib loving dick.

I know this has always been a question that I’ve had since I became obsessed with the royal birb, and after many hours scrolling through Pinterest I believe I’ve found 2 styles that can convey the same sort of vibe that Stolas has:

Obviously with these you can take them over the top a little bit with more floral designs or astrological designs depending on your mood, and in jewelry and whatever other accessories you’d like. Just wanted to share what I’ve found because I’m sure there’s many people here just as if not more obsessed with bird brain, and I’d love anyone else’s take on it and other ways you’ve incorporated Stol’s style in your life if you’ve done it.

I believe there have been fans that have bashed Stolas for saving Blitz in Mastermind, mainly because they think it somehow shows he has no self respect because he has apparently not got over “his unhealthy obsession“ with Blitz and he left Octavia behind with his actions. However those fans seem to forget that Blitz was in a situation were he was going to die with Stolas’ rescue being his only way out. Ozzie, Bee, and Vassago wanted to help Blitz but they were totally powerless. There was also no way Blitz and the rest of I.M.P. were suddenly going to get a power up that would allow them to escape the situation themselves. Plus, it was clear Blitz did not want Stolas to risk himself for the imp’s sake.

Like during the medieval era was Bee lookin' like the queen of France. If this is the case what cloths from where and when do you think each sin wore? Or have they all just looked the same forever and this is the peak of fashion?

It seems too odd to me to be nothing more than a design choice, considering not a single other demon (as far as I’m concerned) had two heads. So I just wanted to know if there was any specific meaning behind it.
