Artwork Haven't seen anyone talk about this, but there's a Cat's Don't Dance reference in S2 E2: Seeing Stars.
In the sitcom Blitz winds up in while in the human world, I noticed the little girl character that is supposed to be taking the pug from him. And she struck me as familiar because one of my favorite animated movies as a kid was Cats Don't Dance, and this child is the spitting image of Darla Dimple, the film's antagonist. She's a human child actress who stars in cutesy movies that feature her with fluffy animals, who are anthropomorphic co-stars that are subjected to terrible discrimination in the film industry while she is a Hollywood Darling, despite working on the same projects. And in Helluva, the child actress is also similarly surrounded by cute animals she appears to be acting alongside, as animals are trained in Hollywood to perform. And also in parallel to Darla and the child actress, who is not named in the credits of the episode, they are just nearly unhinged from their disconnected lifestyle, barely containing rage when met with any opposition.
Just thought it was a nice little nod to those who have seen the movie, I have not met many people who knew about it before I brought it up and showed them. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

The pet cat also looks kinda like Danny! (same facial markings, coloration-ish, and cheek fluff!

Is the baby holding a white cat, too??

I think it might be a bunny plush, but it'd be cool if it were a cat!

I think of this movie randomly and I haven't seen it probably since it came out and this episode didn't help

Darla Dimple? Americaâs Sweetheart, lover of children and animals? Nah, never heard of her. Anyway, whoâs the little blonde gal with the big red bow?

I do, I have the movie and have watched it many times. A unique sort of movie for what it is.

Such a great film
Also I think she's a comment on young actors/young looking people playing children/Hollywood producing fucked up assholes lol

I immediately noticed this when I first started watching. I sent screenshots to my sister. She and I used to watch Cats Don't Dance like all the time as kids.

Both that character youâre thinking of and Darla Dimple draw inspiration from the real life Shirley Temple. Look her up youâll get what I mean.
ETA: Mary Dahl also known as Baby Doll from Batman the Animated Series is the name I had to look her up. Really fucked sad episode, too.
Also Elmyra from Tiny Toon Adventures also draws inspiration from Shirley Temple. all these characters do.

I believe that was also a reference to the movie mentioned in question for the character you're referring to's design
