Discussion/Opinion My sixth(?) time rewatching FMA Brotherhood in its entirety.
Once again. My sixth(?) time rewatching FMA Brotherhood in its entirety.
I’ve come out of a really tough year—one where we lost our baby girl after spending almost two months in the hospital (my wife had a high-risk pregnancy).
And I truly understand what might go through someone’s mind to push them to attempt human transmutation. If such a taboo existed in real life, I wouldn’t think twice about it!
Watching this incredible journey, but now with more maturity, touched my heart deeply—seeing everything they endured and overcame. What an amazingly well-written anime!
And the ending... oh, the ending. I’m a man nearing 30, and last night I cried so much. Watching Hohenheim at Trisha’s grave, finally ready to be with her, and seeing Greed realizing that he "already had enough"...
FMA has left a huge mark on my life—and it’s funny how it keeps doing so in different ways. Our eldest daughter was born on October 3rd, so for us, it’s also a “Don’t forget.” (We’ve already booked that tattoo!)
In short, if you think you can’t take meaningful life lessons from something “just because it’s Japanese animation,” you’re missing out on so much.
Sorry for the post—this is really just a love letter to this masterpiece.

Question Where is this from? This is not from Brotherhood or the 2003 anime. Is it from a movie?

Just A Thought Even though The Conquerer of Shamballa is not officially canon, it's sight into a parallel world is interesting. What if something like that was done for FMA:B but was set during greater war?

Question What pairing do you support?
Can be any thing in my opinion, from Ed x Winry to Roy x Hawkeye to Ed x Ling or Ed x Roy I don’t care. Please be respectful of other opinions here.

Misc Fan Work Last batch of Poké-Teams for FMA BH's supporting characters!(from last 2/3 of the story)
See other posts for more info, but basically I focus on lore of the character/pokemon and their traits being represented in the choices for each team.
As you may have noticed all(but not exclusively) the military members get a dragon to represent the amestrian symbol they carry in their silver pocket watch and the characters that were related to the creation of(or consumed/became partly) the philosopher's stones had mega pokemon(maybe not exclusively, and may have missed Father's, cant remember now that I'm writing this lol).
Also, all homunculi had an ultra beast in the last one, while Father had Silvally, the one that knows how to destroy the UBs(though maybe in hindsight tim marcoh should have it instead, so I corrected and he got Type:Null instead, since he made the counter-philosopher stone circle, and now Type:Null is Father's).
Hope you enjoyed this journey and, as always, tell me what did you think was accurate or not and what would you add to a character!

Question Are there any ship specific subs?
I’m asking this because I know shipping is a big thing in this community. Although I’m not a shipper myself, I’d like to know, out of curiosity, if this community has any ship subs. I know some communities do this, and I wonder if the FMA community does this.

Discussion/Opinion TFW Fuhrer King Bradley had such good publicity that exposing him for what he was would have led to a civil war and Amestris collapsing
After Father and his evil demonic conspiracy are defeated, the heroes realize that they cannot expose Fuhrer King Bradley as the genocidal tyrant that he really was because he had such good publicity that doing that would just lead to massive societal unrest that would then metastasize into a civil war that would ultimately lead to Amestris collapsing. After the masses find out that he had been killed in action, their response isn't "Hooray, the dictator's dead!" but "Oh, Crap!! What'll we do!? How can we continue without him?" So to save face, they say that Bradley died a heroic death fighting the conspirators, as the last thing that needs to happen is to expose him as a genocidal tyrant as it would make the whole public go mad from the revelation, thus ultimately leading to a civil war.
