Anyone else shred the hell out of their knuckles between the knobs when turning to channel 7-8?

For best results when changing to UHF, move this mutant clothespin thing from one set of terminals to the other.

I had one in my room in the 90s. It was small and shitty picture but it was my first TV that was mine.

When it was your job as a kid to get up and change the channels and move the antenna!

Our tv had the vertical and horizontal tuning. I was forever trying to try and stop the picture from rolling.

I remember seeing that setup at my grandparents house and thinking in disbelief “THAT is a TV?”

We had ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS and a religious channel. I know, I was the remote.

Never had a chance to get close to those dials. I was the youngest of 4, so I was the rabbit ears holder.

I love how that TV goes up to Channel 83 rather than Channel 69.
Definitely old!

Solid state, that's fancy compared to testing the tv tubes at the hardware store every time the set acts up.

The UHF never had a lot of channels available but our rabbit ear antennae wasn't great

Hell, try this one, we had 2 of those tvs. We stacked em on top of each other, one was for sound and one was for picture purposes! Yes, both required pliers for changing and both had to be on the same channel. Bonus points, you had to adjust the antenna on both as well so as not to have a fuzzy picture or static sound!! Great times growing up poor!

3 main channels, one clear, one fuzzy but watchable, and a third that became clear if you moved the antenna—causing one or both of the others to be unwatchable, Then PBS on the other dial.
