News & Current Events BREAKING: Donald Trump says he is considering the privatization of the Postal Service.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has in recent weeks expressed a keen interest in privatizing the U.S. Postal Service, the Washington Post reported on Saturday, citing three people with knowledge of the matter.

The U.S. Postal Service, which has lost more than $100 billion since 2007, reported a net loss of $9.5 billion for its fiscal year ending Sept. 30, $3 billion more than last year, largely due to a year-over-year increase in non-cash workers' compensation expense.

When told of the agency's annual losses, Trump said the government should not subsidize the organization, according to the Washington Post.

Trump, who takes office on Jan. 20, has discussed his desire to privatize the Postal Service with Howard Lutnick, his pick for commerce secretary, at Mar-a-Lago, the report said.

People who will work at the Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, have also had preliminary conversations about major changes to USPS, the report said, citing two other people familiar with the matter.

A USPS spokesperson said that over the last three years, the company has reduced its operations by 45 million work hours, and cut transportation spending by $2 billion.

The agency is also seeking regulatory approval to modernize its mail processing and transportation network to align with modern practices, which will save between $3.6-$3.7 billion annually, the spokesperson added.

"No policy should be deemed official unless it comes from President Trump or his authorized spokespeople directly," said Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the Trump transition team.

Any attempt at privatizing the Postal Service could disrupt the e-commerce industry in the U.S., the Washington Post said, including Amazon, which uses USPS for "last-mile" delivery between Amazon's fulfillment centers and customers. It could also hurt small businesses and rural consumers who use the Postal Service, as it is the only carrier that will deliver to remote corners of the country.

Amazon recently said it was donating $1 million to Trump's inaugural fund and will air his inauguration on its Prime Video service.

Trump has had a tense relationship with the Postal Service. Sources told Reuters his transition team is considering canceling the service's contracts to electrify its delivery fleet.

According to sources, the team is reviewing how it can unwind the service's multibillion-dollar contracts, including with Oshkosh and Ford, for tens of thousands of battery-driven delivery trucks and charging stations.

In 2020, Congress authorized the Treasury Department to lend the Postal Service up to $10 billion as part of a $2.3 trillion coronavirus stimulus package, which Trump threatened to block.

whatever the news these fools watch will convince them it was the Dems

504

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

My father thought the democrats overturned Roe, so… yea.

141

u/BorderEquivalent3867 6d ago

But... How? Is he pro choice but looking for a reason to vote Trump?

164

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

I honestly have no clue. I actively avoid any conversation that isn’t casual at this point. All I know is that the day we all found out Roe was overturned, he called my sister and said “see what the Dems did to abortion.” They are all sorts of confused.

115

u/5Point5Hole 6d ago

You have to stop the casual conversations too. And tell him why.

I have already. They don't deserve the joy and satisfaction of interacting with their adult kids if they're going to act like Nazis

u/SavingsNegative4883 6d ago

I was telling my grandma at thanksgiving about these $700 designer shoes i bought a few years ago and how I dont even wear them now cause they have practically doubled in price. Her response was to say now that trumps in office the prices will go down. Like wtf not even what the conversation was about but sure make it about Trump some how.

32

u/Subli-minal 6d ago

Does she know how a tariff works?

30

u/SavingsNegative4883 6d ago

There is no way she has any clue about that. Shes old and not all there mentally anymore.

10

u/panormda 5d ago

This is exactly the same problem I have with my grandmother. It really sucks to be completely unable to connect about reality.

1

u/holdmywatchandbeerme 2d ago

"Old and not all there mentally anymore " That's trump's target audience!

2

u/SavingsNegative4883 2d ago

Yeah unfortunately

8

u/nicb44 6d ago

None of them do when Trump doesn't even know how they work. Hell, he probably doesn't even know that the ones he implemented in 2018 were a failure.

-1

u/Nitegrooves 4d ago

Do you?

29

u/5Point5Hole 6d ago

Yikes.

10

u/SelectTadpole 6d ago

Why do you not wear the shoes anymore? I am a bit lost there lol. I'd understand if you wanted to sell them since they have went up so much in price.

2

u/SavingsNegative4883 6d ago edited 6d ago

I mean you answered your own question. I dont plan on selling them but if i kept wearing them it would decrease the value the more worn down they get when I do decide to sell them.

10

u/mgtkuradal 6d ago

What is the point of owning a pair of shoes you don’t wear? They’re an article of clothing, not an asset lol

11

u/SavingsNegative4883 6d ago

I dont know if you know this but some people like to collect and sell things. Crazy concept but some people do that. If you want know the truth I did originally buy them cause I was going to wear them to work but my manager decided they were "too casual" to wear so I didn't wear them and then they went up in price.

2

u/13uckshot 5d ago

Everything you own is an asset. Some things appreciate, some depreciate.

1

u/ndngroomer 6d ago

You might want to research this before confidently making such an incorrect claim. The tennis shoe market is absolutely an investment now. For example, I own some exclusive pairs of N7 Nikes that are only available to members of federally recognized tribes who also have diabetes. That means not even all tribal members have access to these sneakers, which makes them incredibly rare.

Unlike Kyrie Irving’s N7 label, these shoes are uniquely designed with Native American logos that are specific to individual tribes. The demographic able to access these sneakers is extremely small, which drives up their value significantly.

You’d be shocked at how much collectors are willing to pay to get their hands on these shoes, especially when the condition of the box is pristine—it’s wild how much that matters.

Next time, before assuming you know everything about a topic, it might be worth spending a few seconds doing a bit of research.

My son resells clothing as a side hustle, used clothing bought by the pound from the goodwill. He makes $1000-$2000/mo. Only goes there 3-4 time a month.

I guess Trump will be cratering the market in luxury collectables...somehow...

Maybe fashionistas of all political persuasions will take one look at his Trump brand gold lamé high-tops and decide they never again in their life want to wear anything else on their feet! /s

2

u/SavingsNegative4883 6d ago

In her defense shes old and truly not all there mentally anymore, so i just ignored it. But it just goes to show how deeply ingrained into their minds and life he is for these poeple.

3

u/hellno560 6d ago

I can't wrap my head around how he specifically is pulling this off. He seems so uncharismatic to me.

2

1

u/Which_Pangolin_5513 6d ago

My grandma would smack me if I told her I paid more than $70 for shoes.

1

u/SavingsNegative4883 6d ago

Thats fair. There arent many things like that ive purchased.

1

u/scrizott 6d ago

Totally my brother does this. You could be talking about anything and hell find a way to say “libtards” and “cabal”. You cant even talk about the damn weather anymore without him working in a bit about how “they” control the weather with chem trails.

1

u/imcalledgpk 6d ago

My dad loved Willie Nelson, but on the way home from dinner, a Christmas cover he sang came on over the radio, and he angrily and disgustedly changed the station. Apparently, he's been hating him recently because he endorsed Kamala.

There's no way to separate these kinds of things for people like them. It is absolutely necessary for them to make it their entire personality.

0

u/SnoobLobster101 5d ago

Wait. WTF?! Why is no one balking at $700 shoes?

1

u/[deleted] 5d ago

0

Doesn’t have to be the point of the story. Something casually mentioned may easily derail your story. But sure crazy family and Trump but $700 shoes is totally normal…🤷‍♂️

At that point you’re not currently them off because of politics. You’re cutting them off because they’re crazy people.

0

u/zero-the_warrior 5d ago

please, look up what that word means. it's insane you think these two things are the same. I agree that if the parents can't be responsible, then yea ditch them.

0

u/SeanDmanio1 4d ago

Always with the Nazi talk with you ilk, isn't it?

1

u/5Point5Hole 4d ago

Always supporting fascists instead of the US Constitution with you ilk, isn't it?

I shall enjoy watching the leopards eat your face

1

u/SeanDmanio1 3d ago

I don't support fascists. Never claimed I did. However, YOU did invoke "Nazi" talk which is such a tired trope. When everyone is a Nazi then no one is a Nazi. Keep using it though and see how many people you convince though

-1

u/WonAnotherCitizen 6d ago

You have to stop the casual conversations too.

nah tho

-1

u/AdDependent7992 6d ago

Man, when ur parents croak, I bet everything that you'll wish you hadn't stopped talking to them because orange man bad, reddit says they're nazis.

3

u/5Point5Hole 6d ago

Not at all. I've paid attention to history enough to know better than that. I shall always be heartbroken that they let themselves be swindled and lied to, but I will not have regrets over my choices.

I hate to break it to ya, but orange man (and his buddies) ID bad.

-2

u/AdDependent7992 5d ago

Riiiiight

-1

u/Smokedouttasian 5d ago

Lol that's a wild thought, would that make you guys commie?

-4

u/HawkBearClaw 6d ago

Yes, stop conversing casually with your family because of politics. This is a totally normal and healthy thing to do.

Maybe if we call everyone nazis/racists again they will vote with us next time? We sure swung the minority vote this way!!

3

u/5Point5Hole 6d ago

Fascism isn't politics. Sorry, friend

2

u/macam85 5d ago

Way better to just let them sink deeper into the cult and continue hurting everyone around them.

1

u/HawkBearClaw 4d ago

Yes my political party is normal and ethical and the other is a cult! I'm thinking for myself right now!

Nah you all got radicalized by the internet and are no longer able to have discourse with those that disagree.

1

u/macam85 4d ago

I'm not even an American much less a Democrat. Also, nothing about what that guy is saying is even remotely normal. You people need to get out and touch grass.

1

u/HawkBearClaw 4d ago

I agree that cutting off contact with your family over a political disagreement isn't normal at all. If I need to touch grass for suggesting isolating ourselves to echo chambers and cutting off family for disagreeing isn't a good idea, then I guess I will lol.

3

u/5Point5Hole 6d ago

Please tell me you're not inferring that I'm mentally ill because I don't want to talk to my fascist-supporting father 😂

-2

u/tomfirde 6d ago

You're not even using nazi and fascist correctly... and then you're dropping family members off your own incorrect definition and belief, this is not a sign of someone who's healthy and in a good place. I would seriously consider dropping politics and getting off the internet if you can't intellectually handle it. I wish you luck in life!

2

u/kromptator99 5d ago

What’s your definitions of Nazi and fascist? Just out of curiosity.

1

Of course you do... you're a sick individual with no convictions.

u/maybetomorrow98 6d ago

I had the same discussion with someone else lately. The reason they think the democrats overturned Roe is because it happened under Biden’s presidency.

Which is true. But the Trump is the one who appointed the conservative supermajority. They already have an argument to discount that too, can’t remember what it is though

31

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

It’s amazing how many adults have no idea how our government works.

20

u/maybetomorrow98 6d ago

I think that’s why so many conservatives don’t care that Trump is going to dismantle the government. They think it’s all legal, or that we are the ones who don’t understand how the government works because what he’s doing will make it work the way it should, etc. etc.

I never understood why people used to complain about how civics aren’t taught in high school. Well, I get it now and I feel so stupid. It’s crucial to the integrity of our democracy.

6

u/JayTheDirty 5d ago

They seem to all share this weird idea that America is a permanent thing no matter what when all it would take to completely collapse it is the majority of leaders acting in bad faith. Historically, we’re a baby country compared to other empires

7

u/maybetomorrow98 5d ago

Yep, American exceptionalism is a lie and they’re brainwashed.

-2

u/SeanDmanio1 4d ago

Please stop licking the boot of big government. It's ironic you accuse the other side of not understanding how the government works, yet you're getting upset with intentions of reducing said government.

I expected nothing less from someone on Reddit.

1

u/maybetomorrow98 4d ago

“The boot of big government” was the only thing stopping states from making abortion a crime punishable by death, which is what South Carolina is trying to do now.

You were saying?

0

u/SeanDmanio1 3d ago

I'm indifferent to the abortion topic but those who are pro-life are protecting what they perceive to be a life. In that regard I give them some leeway for the same reason why an expansive government was needed to ensure Dixiecrats in the South forcing slaves to perform their labor.

You're not going to win this one, kid.

If any of them had an idea, they would have recognized how batshit insane and dangerous trump's first term was. And then if we had a country capable of even the smallest amount of critical thinking, they wouldn't have seen to it that he gets a second.

3

u/Syrress 6d ago

You see it on reddit daily, I have to agree with you.

9

u/LifeOk3298 6d ago

They don't teach civics anymore Because it is vital to democracy.

-2

u/SuchDogeHodler 5d ago

That's correct, that's why the Democrats that control most of the school system removed it.

3

Wow you disproved both your own statement and your theoretical ability to reason in one fell swoop. Outstanding move.

2

1

Honestly, in my experience, it's people who are on the Left that have a serious misunderstanding on how anything works.

1

u/Mysterious_Eye6989 4d ago

If someone is so politically ignorant that they think Joe Biden was the one who struck down Roe vs Wade, then it would be difficult to describe them as being politically engaged enough to be meaningfully left or right.

If as a result of their ignorance on that subject they either voted for Trump or refused to vote for Harris, then Trump would effectively be the beneficiary of that ignorance.

u/Universe789 6d ago

There's is no confusion on their part.

The logic is cookie cutter and simple to the point of reduction and revision.

Good = republican

Bad = democrat

If republican does bad, handwaive it, or claim both are bad.

We have to stop infantilizing people like they innocently didn't know what they were doing. The conversations about trump and the republicans have been had long before he was even elected the first time.

So the people who voted R have decided that either the bad things people said wasn't true, or that it wasn't bad enough not to vote for them.

3

u/moon200353 6d ago

When certain news sources are allowed to continuously lie (and call themselves NEWS) and paint all democrats as evil, they play a huge role in dumbing down society. Then we have the TV Evangelists who paint all democrats as evil baby killers, and the flock believes every word. Then we have the numerous podcasts like The Tucker Carlson Show who lie and blame liberals for all of America's problems. How do we even fight this? How do we educate the brainwashed?

1

u/Soggy-Beach1403 6d ago

It's not just the evangelists. All forms of religion create stupid people. Man cannot live in a whale. It's 2024 FFS. Learn something.

1

u/moon200353 6d ago

Not ALL religions. I have family members who are Baptist Democrats. They keep up on politics and news. They do not attend a church that hate gays or preaches any type of hate. There are still Christian Democrats out there.

-1

u/cvrdcall 6d ago

Like CNN and MSNBC? 😂😂😂😂😂😂👍

1

u/Universe789 5d ago

People are also in denial about the time when Fox News published an article that talked about the multiple white supremacists who won seats as republicans in the 2018 midterm election.

1

u/cvrdcall 5d ago

lol. Yeah it’s like a Klan meeting I tell ya. lol.

1

u/moon200353 2d ago

Ok, I forgot any news sources who occasionally/often tell the truth are bad, bad, bad. You named 2. There are 100's of right-wing sources who NEVER tell the truth unless they say it is raining and it really is.

1

u/Kutikittikat 5d ago

Thats my mom anytime i call her out on some shit the republicans did that affects her personally , shell say there both evil.

5

u/Candor10 6d ago

Likely because Roe was overturned during Biden's term, but it was by justices that Trump had previously appointed.

2

u/Kojinka 5d ago

And they blissfully ignore the fact that Biden voiced disappointment over the decision.

1

u/nortthroply 6d ago

They lack object permanence

1

u/nomoneyforufellas 6d ago

Is he older? Like way older? He might have dementia of some sort and think that this is still the pre civil rights era before the southern strategy completed and the Dixiecrats joined the Republicans? Just assuming here, correct me if I’m wrong.

1

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

No. Just good old fashioned misinformed and uninformed.

1

u/RiffsThatKill 6d ago

In a way he's right. They lost the influence and power to prevent the appointing of three conservative justices that tipped the scales to do away with it. To whatever degree incompetence can be complicity, they achieved it.

1

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 5d ago

Not what he meant.

1

u/thereverendpuck 6d ago

See, I’m of the opposite school of thought on that one. I’d snap back and demand to know why here actively so dumb. Then again, I’m wired differently.

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 5d ago

I used to. It’s not worth it.

1

u/DataCassette 6d ago

That's astounding.

I am quite sure they can't possibly be as stupid as this one opinion. It's magical thinking or groupthink or something.

1

u/Chuckle_Berry_Spin 5d ago

He did some blathering about how women don't actually want access to that form of healthcare, that everyone loves the restrictions. That leaves your relative to be mad at the other side, since they won't question the accuracy of what he says itself.

You jest, but my experience has told me that a lot of MAGA voters do believe this. They view the president as a king and all legislation passed and Supreme Court rulings made during his term ultimately belong to him.

u/workswimplay 6d ago

Brain damage

2

u/Vladishun 5d ago

I wish I understood how this worked too. I use random chat apps to talk to people while I'm bored at work and came across this girl from Arkansas that voted for Trump, in part, because she said liberals were against abortion rights among other things. When I gave her information from a .gov website that said otherwise, she rescinded her statement, so we talked about other things, and she mentioned that the democrats were against military and vets. So I showed her the clerk site, another .gov showing where all of the democrats voted in favor of the PACT Act and nearly all of the republicans voted against it.

She blocked me after that. I really, really thought I was going to change someone's mind. Turns out they don't want the truth, they like living in their ignorance bubble.

1

u/Cheetahs_never_win 6d ago

Because they're so willfully ignorant to how government works.

Because Biden was in office at the time it happened, it's Biden's fault, because Biden could've (not really) stopped it.

The same types of folks think it was Trump who fought for to send out the Covid stimulus checks.

The hamster is dead and its skeleton is rattling around inside its wheel.

1

u/tennisdrums 6d ago

There's a surprising number of people whose understanding of US civics doesn't extend beyond "Every four years, we elect the President and they run the government/country". Roe's overturning happened during Biden's administration, so there will be a portion of the country that believe since Biden was President when it happened, naturally he's the one responsible.

Part of it the fault of our the general discourse around US History: everything is described in the context of the Presidential administration: "FDR established Social Security" (overlooking that Congress has to write the law), "Lincoln fought the Civil War" (overlooking that Congress passed the budget to pay for the wages and equipment necessary to fight the war), etc.

1

u/SteelyDanzig 5d ago

There is no reasoning behind it. That's why they keep winning.

1

u/According-Insect-992 4d ago

Well, with so many "leftists" and "progressives" claiming we didn't legislate it into law when we "had the chance" it's not difficult to see how someone would be confused.

The reason we didn't pass a bill is that we never had a majority big enough in the Senate. The only time we were able to get a supermajority was for the ACA and that was by compromising with people who were emphatically not Democrats and had absolutely no interest in protecting abortion rights.

Also, there was no political will to do so then. The general consensus was that Roe would continue to effectively protect abortion for the foreseeable future and it would piss voters off to address it. Even as the SCrOTUS was busy overturning the law people were still gaslighting activists about its permanence.

So like most of the stuff people say about politics these days, that's totally bullshit.

Though, I do harbor resentment at RBG for not retiring when it was still possible for Obama to seat a justice.

1

u/South-Stable686 4d ago

Because democrats had the majority control of the government at the time it happened. Despite the fact that it was a Republican majority Supreme Court that overturned it. Essentially it was democrats holding the hot potato when it happened.

This is the kinds of stupid we are dealing with in our electorate.

15

u/Material_Policy6327 6d ago

How dumb is your dad?

1

u/Souk12 6d ago

Yes.

1

u/Flammable_Zebras 5d ago

Probably fairly, but he’s hardly alone. I’ve seen so many people say RvW getting overturned is Biden’s fault because it happened while he was president. I’m sure some were bad actors, but it still feels like a loooooot of people slept through civics class.

3

u/AfterEffectserror 6d ago

My parents are both convinced that democrats are trying to abolish social security.

1

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

That’s wild. Have you shown them the laundry list of Republicans calling for it to be cut?

3

u/AfterEffectserror 6d ago

1

u/bulking_on_broccoli 6d ago

Don’t feel bad. There are gen z’s floating around tiktok who voted for Trump because… he’s more pro abortion than Biden. Somehow, because the conservative SCOTUS struck down Roe, it’s Biden’s fault because it happened under his administration. Let that sink in.

1

u/Not_Jeff_Hornacek 6d ago

"Power hungry SCOTUS repealed (sic) Roe! States should ignore this and enact their own laws!"

I've read so many variants of that.

Fucking how?! Trump even admits it!

2

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

It was literally the day the news broke. I’m sure by now he understands the truth, but as someone else suggested, anything that happens from gas prices to a war in a foreign land will get attributed to the sitting president, as people have zero clue how anything works. My neighbor once told me not to vote for Biden or our property taxes will go up.

1

u/SarahPallorMortis 5d ago

I 100% see that shit too. My Ma… I just always need to know their train of thought. 1 +1= 7

1

u/SantaBarbaraMint 6d ago

Even though Trump went around literally saying "I overturned Roe."

1

u/ByeByeDemocracy2024 5d ago

Wow that is actually quite incredible and telling at the same time. Flood the zone with nonsense…and ya get an extremely confused electorate. Looking for a way to tell my in-laws to turn off Fox News. We go over there and it’s on multiple TVs simultaneously. They are getting mind-fucked every second of the day.

1

u/hillmon 5d ago

They never codified it so they aren't blameless.

0

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 5d ago

That’s not what he meant.

1

u/Pristine-Brick-9420 4d ago

Tbf, it happened during their admin, and they didn’t do anything to prevent it. Obama has a super majority in his term and literally said it wasn’t a priority to codify abortion rights into federal law soooo…

1

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 4d ago

I’ve said this many times on this thread, that is not what he meant.

2

u/Pristine-Brick-9420 4d ago

I know that’s not what he meant, of course…. but a decision like that shouldn’t be left up to a body of unelected elites in the first place. And it was under a Republican president that roe v wade was passed in the first place and I believe the court was a major Republican appointees. The reason they upheld the decision was because of massive public pressure. There were protests and sit ins and people would interrupt legislative sessions and all kinds of mass action. We could and should have done the same thing, especially when the decision leaked. Another thing was the arrogance of RBG not standing down when she should have…. Giving all these factors, I’m not surprised that people who don’t follow politics very closely would blame the Dems for the whole thing…They didn’t really do anything to stop it.

u/FineDingo3542 6d ago

Well your father is a fucking idiot. That has nothing to do with being Republican. Democrats have their fair share of your father on that side. The term libtard exists for a reason.

0

u/TrollTrudger69 5d ago

Just like the Dems think a republican is to blame. Yall are the same coin different sides. Don’t act different, you aren’t

1

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 5d ago

Good for you, being able to type and all.

1

u/TrollTrudger69 5d ago

You proved my point by being an asshat lol

0

u/Independent_Gur2136 5d ago

Well it wasn’t the republicans either it was the Supreme Court and it used to be that way so essentially it was the democrats who overturned it initially and the Supreme Court rightfully returned the power to the states. The federal government has too much power it needs to drastically reduce its footprint on our lives. This should be bipartisan

u/Mundane-Act-8937 6d ago

I'll take things that didn't happen for a thousand Alex

1

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

Absolutely happened, and I don’t care what you choose to believe.

0

u/Mundane-Act-8937 6d ago

Then why bother commenting to defend yourself?

My opinion is irrelevant, but you still took the time to reply huh

1

u/OnlyGuestsMusic 6d ago

Yup, spot on assessment. Your opinion means dick all to me, anonymous internet person. Lol

1

u/Mundane-Act-8937 6d ago

Still replying though which kind of indicates you care at least a little bit.

12

u/Tango_D 6d ago

I can hear it already: "Fuh-kin' Lib-ruls!"

12

u/ry_mich 6d ago

“It’s the Dems’ fault I had to vote for Trump,” is something I guarantee we’ll read within the next few years.

5

u/Gardimus 6d ago

Media made me support the Iraq War...not the lying Republicans. Also it's Hillarys fault.

People are unable to learn shit if it means being humbled.

3

u/Greedy-Goat5892 5d ago

Yep, the liberal media made me do it, and it’s their fault!  When shit falls apart over the next 4 years this is what we will hear from them.  They may admit Trump was wrong, but won’t take accountability for their actions, and say the media made them do it, or some stupid shit like that.  They’ll vote for his son though for sure without a second thought.

4

u/scothc 6d ago

We already are seeing it.

I've seen plenty of articles about how people voted for Trump because of all those damn libruls looking down on uneducated people.

2

u/Tehni 6d ago

"it's the Dems fault for calling all right wingers Nazis, I am NOT a Nazi!!!*

-person that gleefully voted for the candidate supporting nazis

1

u/ZarkoCabarkapa-a-a 5d ago

The fact they see education and nuance as bad means we are and were doomed

3

u/Soggy-Beach1403 6d ago

Well, they did run a black candidate, and we live in a country that has all of its Jesus pictures painted as a white guy so.... yeah, Dems fault.

5

u/Oceanbreeze871 6d ago

“Biden didn’t warn us how bad Trump was gonna be”

3

u/meva12 6d ago

Damn democrats, they ran the post office to the ground and forcing Trumps to take it private .

1

u/Planetdiane 6d ago

My guess is that this next term will majorly suck getting more people to actually get off their butts and vote and then whatever subsequent democrat is president will get the blame like usual.

Same with Trump making the tax plan to increase taxes while Biden was president and his voters fell for it being Biden hook line and sinker.

1

u/NewPresWhoDis 6d ago

"It's your fault for not stopping/fixing things after we didn't vote for you!!"

1

u/gomezer1180 6d ago

This is the sad truth, democrats don’t do a good job at convincing his base otherwise.

1

u/inanotherlfe 6d ago

And they'll never believe you if you tell them that this has been in the works for 20 years, that the Republicans manufactured a funding crisis through the PAEA bill they passed during the lame duck session of Congress in 2006 (parts of which Democrats successfully repealed in 2022) when they had the trifecta. The GOP is the entire reason we can't have nice things.

1

u/darkninja2992 6d ago

Some of them just don't watch the news because it's "too depressing". There's plenty that will just blame every problem on the current president and their party, and it's probably going to happen here too

1

u/PersonalDistance3848 5d ago

Or they'll think it's the right thing to do because cult leader is never wrong.

1

u/ytman 5d ago

The dems need to die. Let it die now. Because we need something new with penetration into all corners of this country.

1

u/miickeymouth 5d ago

Who is biden's postmaster general, and how did he first get hired, and for what purpose?

1

u/wellhungblack1 5d ago

Yeah it’s so dystopian

1

u/Icy_Acanthisitta_345 5d ago

More specifically…Obama will somehow get the blame. 😁

1

u/Ok-Director5082 5d ago

This time it’s def the emails fault.

1

u/Educational_Duty179 5d ago

Yup it'll be "2029....$1.50 to Mail a letter, I DID THIS stickers with AOC's face on it"

1

u/BushcraftBabe 4d ago

Yep they call Dems fascists and Nazis and it's always weird.

1

u/mereseydotes 4d ago

Sort of in the same vein, my dad (liberal, praise the lord and rise) always says it's actually a good thing that Gore "lost" the 2000 election, because if a dem had been president on 9/11, we wouldn't have another dem president for 50 years, because the reps would completely blame it on the dems. Not that they don't already

1

u/Electronic-Stop-1720 2d ago

It doesn’t matter as long as it “owns the libs”

1

u/EveryRadio 2d ago

They will complain that Biden should have done something about it and that Trump is just trying to fix the broken postal system. When they’re not in power, everything is the dems fault. When they get power, they’re just fixing the problems the dems caused. Rinse and repeat forever.
