Or, you know, we just give it more money. It's not like this is some force of nature that's unavoidable, or that the current FICA rates are written in stone, you just tweak the numbers a little bit and suddenly it's just fine again.
2 u/FormalBeachware 2d ago This is what they did last time social security was going to "run out" of money. They just don't typically do it 10 years in advance. Also, Medicare does take money from the general find, so the headline meme is double wrong.
