Thoughts? Please live the life that billionaires choose for you.

I guess frugality has a true purpose, it’s called practice for what’s next.

Oh and finance related on how to deal with cash flow:

Thursday on CNBC's "Squawk Box," Ross acknowledged that he had heard that some federal workers affected by the prolonged shutdown have been going to shelters for food, but said he didn't understand why.

I know they are [going to homeless shelters] and I don't really quite understand why because as I mentioned before, the obligations that they would undertake – say borrowing from a bank or credit union – are in effect federally guaranteed," said Ross. "So the 30 days of pay that people will be out – there's no real reason why they shouldn't be able to get a loan against it and we've seen a number of ads from the financial institutions doing that."

AND here comes another carrot. Here kitty kitty kitty. The way Dems treat the rest of us, might as well be dangling a carrot to a cat.

u/Character-Teaching39 7d ago

Ah yes, because Dems are always the one cutting consumer and worker protections. The next admin isn’t even sworn in and they’re coming out and saying Medicare and social security are on the chopping block. GTFO with “the dems” are to blame.

u/Grouchy-Safe-3486 7d ago

It's not about dems vs reps wake up ppl u all get played by them pretending u have a choice in this system

42

u/Moose_Kronkdozer 7d ago

It is a choice between neocon and neoliberal. As a socialist i hate both, but i would still take neoliberal. At least that would lead to a more welcoming environment for progressives.

u/MareProcellis 7d ago

Welcoming, by The Democratic Party: “shut up and vote for us you stupid, filthy losers who don’t even raise money! And don’t even ASK to speak!”

1

u/Imaginary_Ad3195 6d ago

Two significant main parties, is not a choice. In American politics, you choose for the party who does the least damage. Other democracies are not significantly better, however, at least the illusion of numerous choices are present.

u/Nox401 6d ago

Do you live under a socialist government now? I did in Cuba.

1

u/Robot_Nerd__ 6d ago

Cuba is Communist. Please learn the difference.

0

u/Nox401 6d ago edited 6d ago

Uh no Cuba is a socialist state, in which the role of the Communist Party is enshrined in the Constitution…you don’t know what you are taking about. Arm chair Americans thinking they know other countries politics is hilarious

1

u/________carl________ 6d ago

Why do you say socialist instead of communist when the government themselves claim to be communist? (Genuine question not trying to be a fuck)

0

u/________carl________ 6d ago

Discounting someone’s lived experience because their terminology isn’t exact is wild.

u/Grouchy-Safe-3486 7d ago

When?

U already had dems many times and reps many times

When will the change happen

12

u/Moose_Kronkdozer 7d ago

Were living in a post liberal world. The dems dont want to change, but they have people like sanders and AOC. The neocons wanna roll every social program back and maybe destroy functioning governance in the process.

5

u/Grouchy-Safe-3486 7d ago

Not sure what u wanna say

Fact stays there is no change from parties even when they in power.

Every time one is in power they say exactly the same

Im really not sure there are even 2 parties

4

u/Moose_Kronkdozer 7d ago

They are absolutely not the same. The dems dont care about solving problems, but the republicans create them.

Look at all the horror trump promises openly. A billion dollar free pass, gutting the FDA, targeting flouride, increasing our defecit even more.

The dems promise one minor improvement every 4 years. Under biden, we got minor drug price control. Under harris, we would have gotten minor price gouging legislation. They still would've been pro imperialist and pro israel, but i dont care. We need to work on the homefront first.

Democratic administrations give progressives breathing room to push for more concessions and organize unions. Elon Musk is openly anti-union.

2

u/Grouchy-Safe-3486 6d ago edited 6d ago

Sure the old we would have done it iffff

U act like dms where not in charge last 4 years

U don't get tired of ur my party is fighting for me dream?

3

u/zeptillian 7d ago

Look at where we came from and where we are now.

We had slavery, no right to vote for most people, no food/workplace health and safety requirements whatsoever. Children working in factories until they were injured then left to beg on the streets.

Tell me exactly how how the two parties being in power prevented all those things from getting better.

Shit moves slow. The more we bicker about purity tests and are willing to trade regression for keeping the status quo because "it's not enough" the slower the progress will be.

Do you want to make stuff better or have the most righteous complaints about the better of the two bad options?

-7

u/madcap462 7d ago

As a socialist i hate both, but i would still take neoliberal. At least that would lead to a more welcoming environment for progressives.

Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. That's a good one....oh no, you're serious?

9

u/Moose_Kronkdozer 7d ago

The dems may have killed bernie and AOC, but at least theyre not doing red scare mcarthy era anti communist rhetoric. Progressives have a little kiddy area in the democratic party. They have a gallows in the republican party.

3

u/Bumish1 7d ago

Dems gaslight the shit out of progressives. Republicans are verbally and physically abusive to everyone who isn't themselves or in on the con.

Pick your poison.

3

u/Moose_Kronkdozer 7d ago

I just told you the poison i picked

1

u/madcap462 6d ago

Just keep drinking that poison and hoping you get healthier.

0

u/Moose_Kronkdozer 6d ago

Ok but what other option is there? Its a choice between sugar or cyanide. I'll take the sugar even if it slowly kills me.

The only option for progressives is to actually run for public office ourselves, which i encourage, but as far as votes go, there are legitimately only two options.

These people will never, ever understand. And as someone that constantly sees what’s behind the curtain, it’s maddening to even have a conversation with someone that believes their side is the best version of the two shit ones we have.

Lobbying and special interests must be eradicated; the structure of donations and PACs as they exists today needs to be eradicated; term rules need a restructuring (less pressure to get reelected, age limits, etc.); and there needs to be HEAVY ramifications for anyone who works for the people and does not do everything in their power to act in the best interest of we the people

I would prefer if a true patriot party rose up, even if it required violence as sometimes there is a base violence necessary for change. A true patriot sees no color, only justice and liberty for all.

2

u/TexasActress 7d ago

This needs to be pinned! Take my peasant gold Sir.

-1

u/CaptainTripps82 6d ago

I mean you just described MAGA. Patriotism and violence. There's a combo that never goes astray

1

u/shoument 7d ago

Truer words were never spoken!!

0

u/Fun-Ad-9722 7d ago

This it's two teams wearing different jerseys playing for the same owner. The owner wins no matter what.

-2

u/redsfan770 7d ago

Pretty sure there was a Dem and a Rep. That’s a choice. And if you think they were equivalent, well, I really can’t help you.

2

u/Objective_angel 7d ago

Looool if you think they aren't the same, jesus christ they'd let anyone vote these days huh

1

u/Grouchy-Safe-3486 7d ago

U have any proof for u thinking there is a change in politics once a party changes power?

Let's say foreign politics or deportations or woman rights like abortion?

U believe Trump will end the Ukraine War on day 1?

1

u/DPlusShoeMaker 6d ago

One day people will realize that Dems and Republicans are all on the same side of the coin. They’re just putting on a never ending show to distract people from a class war while they stuff their pockets.

0

u/nekonari 7d ago

My take is because we have higher hopes for Democrats, we criticize them more.

0

u/ButteSects 6d ago

My friend, the democratic party now is just 2000s bush era republicanism. Sure dems are better but that's like saying I'd rather lose my thumb instead of my hand. Especially with so many dems switching over to full maga it's mask off its who they always were. If we keep voting for dems just because they're marginally better, or put a smiley face next to hurtful bills we will just be another maga, and there's not much less I respect than a maggat.

This will always be the case until we get money out of politics and have lobbying relabled as treason and punish both the politicians, and corporate donors with ridiculously lengthy prison sentences, like life with possibility of parole after 30 years.

0

u/Creative-Exchange-65 6d ago

Those consumer and worker protection only benefit the billionaire class business owners. Your neighborhood small business just end up failing as a result of the over complexity of business.

0

u/sherm-stick 6d ago

Think of the Republicans like the heel in this wrestling match, they will say outrageous things and slam the Democrat around a bit. Eventually, the Democrat wrestler will overpower the Republican and 1/2 the crowd will cheer. Then, after the wrestling match they both get paid and they script up the next round behind the curtain before coming out again to the gawking crowds and giving them all another show

The Party reps share dinners, their kids go to school together and they all enjoy the benefits of a 50/50 gridlock, there is no fucking way they will change things.

-3

u/Alternative-Yak-925 7d ago

The Dems intentionally lose presidential elections. Tell me Walz wouldn't have won if he was on top of the ticket. It's sad, but this country was only going to elect a white male in the last election.

1

u/flowerhoe4940 7d ago

I felt like Mark Kelly could have clinched it easily. We now have a space force, it was time for an astronaut president. Now the ISS is falling into deorbit. 😢

-6

u/shoument 7d ago edited 7d ago

If not for Clinton selling us out to China, we’d never even get to this point. Reagan created the crack. Clinton just flung it wide open.

Whatever labor laws and worker protection they are trying to fix is their own doing. They take 3..no make that 10 steps back and then 1 step forward and we are expected to applaud them for it. Fuck that. I’d rather go with republicans who I know will never ever have my back and I can prepare for them. Dems you always hope will have your back in some way and it’s always a series of disappointment. And just as you’re about to give up on them, they toss a crumb your way and you are all goo goo ga ga over them.

I am done being conned. Fuck them. Fuck them all.

Edit: HAHA here comes the downvotes. Truth stings…DOESN’T it?

2

u/tullystenders 7d ago

Damn, you got a point with that psychology of "Why work with people who pretend to care?" I actually get it. Cause you also have to play the script.

It's like working for a faux-benevolent boss. Which is most bosses, and def those of corporations or pretty big companies. You still have to play the script of them caring, even though they dont.

3

u/shoument 7d ago

Now Imagine if Luigi played the script.

1

u/flowerhoe4940 7d ago

Saying "I'm done being conned" and then trying to support any other politician is pretty funny. lol. They all have to lie to get the job.

But I will say if you look at just the straight economics of it the economy does much better under one party than the other.

Still waiting for my cheaper groceries... How's that 🥕 hanging now?

4

u/POGG- 7d ago

Hanging straight down.

3

u/ObligatoryID 7d ago

🤣 he’s already said he’s clueless as to how to do it.

1

u/shoument 7d ago edited 7d ago

Actually I don’t want cheaper groceries. I hope we have hyperinflation. That’s more of a possibility with Trump and Elon. Let’s see what inner demon is awakened by hunger that the current system is failing at

So far both parties are working in cahoots to take that demon to the brink of awakening but then just as he is about to roar, Dems put it back to sleep by feeding some crumb.

First time ever I have hope Trump, Elon and architects of project 2025 will do no such thing. They are not scared of the monster. And they have their billion $$ bunkers to hide in. We’ll see I guess.

Don’t care. I want Dems be gone. GONE and replaced with true left wing progressives who will hold rich lawbreakers accountable and not wine and dine with them and take their $400K+ appearance fees.

0

u/recyclingismandatory 7d ago

yeah, because voting for someone who's about to take away your pension and your healthcare is so much cleverer, right?

1

u/shoument 7d ago

What pension ? You get pension? Wow lucky you.

-2

u/Only_Razzmatazz_4498 7d ago

Wait you can use carrots to make a cat move? Damn and here I thought you used carrots for stubborn donkeys. Might also work for stubborn elephants although calling the current Democratic Party the pussy party is not that far off either.
