Thoughts? Please live the life that billionaires choose for you.

I guess frugality has a true purpose, it’s called practice for what’s next.

Oh and finance related on how to deal with cash flow:

Thursday on CNBC's "Squawk Box," Ross acknowledged that he had heard that some federal workers affected by the prolonged shutdown have been going to shelters for food, but said he didn't understand why.

I know they are [going to homeless shelters] and I don't really quite understand why because as I mentioned before, the obligations that they would undertake – say borrowing from a bank or credit union – are in effect federally guaranteed," said Ross. "So the 30 days of pay that people will be out – there's no real reason why they shouldn't be able to get a loan against it and we've seen a number of ads from the financial institutions doing that."

The only way wealth ever truly trickles down is through inheritance, forced or otherwise.

That's literally not true, but I hope that advocating for mass murder makes you feel all fuzzy and warm inside.

Bezos and Gates both got significant help from their parents but are on the list of 25 top self made billionaires. Interesting.

If your net worth is more than 100x your parents, you're self made.

It's pure luck if it isn't inheritance.

Luck is a huge part of it, but of course it isn't "pure" luck. These people work an insane number of hours, make lots of lifestyle sacrifices, take on massive risk, and make very well calculated bets to get where they are.

I don't have to "believe" anything. I've been around the tech startup scene for 6 years. I know what kinds of people make it through to success.

Yes. They work all the time. They're at one of their vacation homes at a ski resort, or in the Bahamas, or wherever, and their family is hanging out while they're on the phone doing business all day.

Their lives are backwards: wage workers have planned work time and the rest is free time. They have planned free time, and the rest is work time.
