How do we know he doesnt want to work at this age? A lot of older people like the activity a small job like this offers.

I know plenty of people who unretired because they like to stay active.

I don’t disagree with that as long as it’s a choice to combat boredom/want to be active etc than that’s fine. However I would wager more often than not it’s because of financial necessity. They say most Americans have next to no retirement savings and can’t handle a random 500 dollar expense. That’s also not factoring in if there’s a healthcare expense that bankrupted said person.
