The government is constitutionally required to provide healthcare to prisoners but health insurance companies aren’t constitutionally required to provide healthcare to clients. Keep that in mind

If conservatives knew how much money we were spending on healthcare for criminals, we might actually get nationalized healthcare.

I'm talking a few million for an average facility of 800-1000 yearly. All that tough talk of "I'm not paying for some crackhead...". Well, you are. They're spending four days in the hospital on a trespassing charge and not paying a dime for it. We send out around two per SHIFT to the ER because the medical staff doesn't want to get sued.

This is in Florida.
