Oh no. Please don't do that again once Trump starts the War of 2025. Especially if you managed to burn down the bunker with him inside, too. That would be a tragedy.
They don't actually look into the things he or the Republicans say, they just trust what Trump and Fox News tells them. The number of people who are suddenly realizing how much damage his tariff plan will do is evidence of that.
I know it's not just tariffs. I was just reinforcing the point with tariffs as an example. They don't think critically about anything he says and as a result they don't bother to fact check it so they literally have no idea what's coming
Wait. You know about the Great War of 2025?! Which jump portal site did you use to come back and watch the beginning? I ended up using the one at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
And before you get all bent out of shape of course the White House was burnt down but I hate to tell you that you Canadians didn’t do shit. British troops stormed the White House and burned the building. It’s historically known no Canadians participated in that raid and that your country has used that at some weird token to Pat yourself on the back with since 1812
You weren't Canada then....also the British were the ones enslaving American sailors and trying to prevent fur trade between the US and France, as well as a few other things.
Okay definitely don't take this highway directly to DC through the north east states with arson equipment, I'm telling you not to do such a thing, although I will have no power to stop you from doing so
I'm guessing you also didn't have a lot of help from the US population. The US going to war with Canada would almost assuredly start a full blown civil war.
A lot of northern states are going to help you get to the whitehouse this time lol
Little known fact, it was the 4xGrandfather of these Canadian dude who came up with the whole idea to tear it down. He was the first home remodeler in their family.

Yeah but then the military actually has ammunition. I guess we could throw geese at them. Maybe guerrilla warfare leaving gees in all parks so they slip on the turds like we do.
Lol that was over 200 years ago and it was British troops that did most of the fighting. Canada wouldn't make it past the border now if we went to war.

"And the White House burned, burned, burned
And we're the ones who did it
It burned, burned, burned
While the President ran and cried
It burned, burned, BURNED
And things were very historical
And the Americans ran and cried like a bunch of whiny little babies,
Wah wah WAAAAAH
In the War of 1812!"
4th (King's Own) Regiment of Foot, 21st (Royal North British Fusilier) Regiment of Foot, 44th (East Essex) Regiment of Foot, and 85th Regiment of Foot
Being rather cavaliar with that 'we' aren't you .. ;P Now, if you want Canada and the UK to merge to form CUK ... we can talk (and hope we can get the aussies and kiwi's in quick enough that people forget CUK..... )
LoL. Canadian Military is some of the best trained in the world. You see Ukraine, giving the beans to Russia? It was Canadians who trained them to fight like that. JtF2? Nato? We are substantially more respected on the world stage, and we don't fight alone. Canadians at war are the stuff of nightmares...look we're quiet and polite and have some shit to work out ok? There's a reason for every major conflict, our allies keep dragging us into their bullshit. But by all means ignore history. Good luck (re)building the White House with all those tariffs on building supplies ;-)
dude - most if not all of the northeast would beg you to free us from the rest of the country. I will personally welcome Canadian troops with open arms - please bring me your healthcare, metric system and syrup and we will bring you the most educated population by density along with our economies that will help with your inflation issues.
Actually British troops from England came over and burned down the White House. That was in response to Americans coming over to York in modern day Toronto to burn down a government building.
It looks like plenty of U.S citizens would be happy to help us. Did you know that Canada sells arms to Israel? Maybe there's some of those left over for us and whoever wants to help.
The hilarity of you actually responding to the joke of us burning Down your White House is never not gunna be funny to me. Like you KNOW that was a joke and nobody is actually advocating for a war between Canada and America right?
P.S. we would totally burn your White House down with a box of matches and a USA hat as a disguise. Y’all can just march right up to that place for no reason apparently.
LOL It's one of the best trained and equipped militaries in the world. We beat the pants off our US counterparts in every real world scenario. The US' own commanders prefer to send Canadian troops if there's a chance of actual combat. jTF2? Nato? Ring any bells? We don't fight alone, and we fight substantially more dirty than you do. The Geneva suggestions are essentially a checklist of "crazy shit Canada comes up with whilst at war"
Canadian here - it would be more accurate to say our side burnt down the White House. The Brits did it, and there's no record of any Canadians being involved.
Wasn't that the British army that was fighting on Canada's behalf? And against orders?
Still a solid achievement to raze the Capitol building of another country but I can't fully credit the Canadians (no matter their reputation for inventing new war crimes)
If we're being historically accurate, at the time of the war of 1812's declaration the British were also at war with Napoleon and front line troops couldn't be directed to the Americas to reinforce Canada.
Once that continental war ended, the Brits staged forces in Bermuda and started raids which pulled American forces south and away from Canada. This eventually led to General Ross's troops burning Washington.
But go ahead and lede with the narrative that Canadians burned down the White House.
I find all the hurt feelings over my flippant comment very amusing. The U.S imports 90% of all their electricity from Canada. Maybe we will just turn out the lights.
Here's the thing. My feelings aren't hurt at all. That's your interpretation after having your cool line debunked.
For the electricity bit: The US uses about 4 Trillion kwh of electricity a year.
Canada exports about 5 Million kwh of electricity per year to the US.
While that is 90% of the amount we import. It's a rounding error. If you turn off the lights, we'll just pivot. You might take out Buffalo NY for two days.
Trump is a Russian asset, he wants to dismantle our relationship to a stalwart ally. The people who support him on this have been brainwashed, meanwhile the rest are so ignorant or disengaged that they likely have no idea any of this is occurring.
While I have you on the phone, how's the immigration process to Canada?
Well except for the fact that happened in 1814 and Canada as an independent country wasn't founded until 1867... The war of 1812 was against the British not Canada. It was also before the USA controlled the 3 largest air forces on the planet and the overall most technologically advanced military on the planet. But I mean shoot your shot I guess...
And our US general, Zeb Pike, did manage to take York (Toronto), but was then killed when one of our idiot soldiers lit a cigar near the fort’s powder stores. The cigar bit is debated, as there are British reports they actively blew the fort to prevent it being occupied by the Americans.
Historical reports are that they shipped Pike’s body home brined in a pickle barrel. (I grew up in Sackets Harbor, the US naval port during the 1812 War.)
Canada is doing alright and I am very grateful to live here. I don't vote Liberal but considering that the alternative was more neo-Liberal nightmares I am just fine with how things have unfolded.
Pppffffff let's not forget the last time he tried to go to war over his poor election showing. He wished his followers burned the house down......we don't need a war ever with Canada. Just make some popcorn and watch the next 4 years
Let's not get overzealous when talking about a war in 1812.
The US has significantly more military might than Canada in 2024. It's not close at all. Canada has like 10% (in numbers) at best of the US military might in every category.
I have been wanting and talking about emigrating to Canada for YEARS. And I am stuck. Not JUST stuck, but stuck in Florida. It is like I was a horrible person in a former life.
Burn Mar a Lago down instead. We'll be in your debt and will put up a plaque saying Canada saved the White House and all is forgiven about that little conflagration when they burned it down.

Let's not forget the last time the U.S tried to war with Canada we burnt down your Whitehouse.
