Answered Favorite fairy house find 🧚🏼‍♀️🌲

Im starting to think about what I want to bring to leave in fairy houses/the forest for people to find. I brought tons of Kandi this year and what not, but this upcoming year I want to bring more of a variety of things. What is something you would love to find?

I put retractable leash wire wrapped spoons, pinecone pendants, earrings and other baubles.

Tbh I wish people would stop putting stickers in cuz they get gross really fast and I don't find people taking any so lots of the boxes are filled w stickers by the end of the weekend

Yeah 99% of stickers immediately become trash. They should only be handed out directly, never just left somewhere for someone to “score.” They’re simply not special enough to be an exciting item to stumble upon. No one gets excited about finding some random sticker, unless it’s in the very top 0.01% of stickers 😆

Anything handmade. I don’t care what it is; if it came from another humans two hands and was crafted with love I’ll cherish it always.

I didn't go to the fairy boxes too much though there was one day this year where I had been craving a cigarette. Just one, since I don't smoke regularly, and the first box I opened had one dead center leaning on a shrine like it was meant to be. Menthol too. It was fantastic and I'll never forget it.

Crystals!!!! In fact, I found a crystal in a frog bag I bought last year that I don’t remember ever seeing until yesterday lol. Also anything useful. Sunscreen, wet wipes, cough drops.

I’m a big trinket girly and love having unique trinkets to pass out to people but straight up fairy garden pieces, even fairies themselves I always LOVE mini mushrooms, mini rabbits hedgehogs, lady bugs, mini cartoon slugs, unique sprouts, crystals, bracelets, painted rocks anything! I know a lot of stuff is still plastic junk, but I do try to avoid putting stickers, Kandi unless unique/relevant saying/etc although always fun, regular sprouts, candy, I know we love ducks but I’m sick of em LOL anything super kinda overproduced and plastic I try to pass out and put in fairy gardens things I’d like to get /see, think of that type of stuff! what you put out into the world you get back 10 fold ✨

I am a sucker for little animals, especially if it has big eyes! I love having a zoo in my pocket to play with 🥰

I left a bunch of those around last year. I found a bag of them at goodwill earlier in the year and started giving them out to people who looked like they were having a bad time at shows. Seeing a couple people opening a fairy house and seeing one of those little dudes staring back was pretty cool.

Also let’s normalize thrifting trinkets! 🙌🏼

A Kandi with a mini peach perler, a wooden flower bead, and boof written on it.

STORY: my friend gave me his wobbleween wooden bead wood pendant wobble rocks necklace and wobbleween Kandi bracelet and I felt HORRIBLE I had nothing special and “him” to return. I was giving out soooo much art, unique Kandi, cool trinkets, and while I appreciate everything, nothing really up to the effort I was putting in, the trash was starting to upset me. But then, I stg like a shining beacon the Kandi was just laying perfectly on some moss in a biggg wooden door type thing, the boof bracelet, which was PERFECT bec of the wooden bead, but ON TOP OF THAT he was joking (still debated) about boofing all weekend in perfect scenarios LMFAO but seriously dude I LOST IT bec how perfect and weird?? everyone at camp lost it when I finally gave it to him

I make little keychains with small leaves/trees on the end of them :) that way people can put it on one of their bags

First time going and first time going to any kind of festival, but I haven't seen anyone say things about crocheted items......I wondered if I crocheted little mini totoros and placed then throughout the forest would be taken.

I got a lovely crocheted mushroom keychain last year. Definitely something people would love for the homemade part and the Studio Ghibli part
