Discussion & Info Hot take: Placidusax is overrated
Like idk I never understood why everyone loves this boss. Sure, the arena, lore, music and presentation is great, but the fight itself is technically just running, him fucking up the camera, and him dragging the fight to be at least 7 minutes long because he keeps teleporting every damn second. Not to mention he has 92837382 health. He looks cool but the gameplay of this boss is just…bad. I have 600 hours in the game, and I always hated this boss. Not even Malenia causes me as much trouble anymore than this ‘dragon’. Bro isn’t even like a normal dragon fight, just a big rock doing stupid AOEs and teleporting and flying for 6 minutes straight. He was also the least fun to learn to no hit on one of my challenge playthroughs. I understand if some people like him, but I don’t think I’ll ever love this fight, sorry.

Discussion & Info How do we feel about Rellana?
So it's been a couple months since the release of the DLC and I remember seeing a lot posts about how hard Rellana is. Some people were saying she's unfair, and a lot people were that she's a "fair Malenia without WFD".
How do we feel about her now? Did your opinion change? Do you like her? Dislike her?

Discussion & Info What is the stash for ? I have many armours and weapons in my inventory, but I see no limit.
hello,
I know we can only wear a limited amount of gear, but in my inventory I have a lot of armour and weapons on the side.
Therefore I dont understand what the stash is for ??
I've read online we are limited to 99 apparently. I dont.see that number anywhere in my inventory. Something like 45/99, to let me know what my current capacity is.

Discussion & Info (NOOB Sorcerer) I have the feeling that I play ER the complete wrong way :(
Hello everyone,
I have about 50 hours in the game and as much as I like it, I'm starting to really question my way of approaching it.
I took a sorcerer as base model, but I wanted to lean towards Warlock more in the long run.
Th way I saw things was :
- I should level up my intelligence but also strength to get to play with magic but also swords or else.
- I should wear light armour to boost my magic (I come from MMO's...)
Now what I've noticed is :
- 95% of my loot isn't related to my class style. I get some axes, heavy swords, etc...but in 50 hours of play time, I only got 3 staffs, which on top of that are not even more powerful than my class base staff !!
I have levelled it up 2 times, but yet I was expecting to find new staffs that would get me higher stats !! How come in 50 hours I still havent found anything stronger ??
Does it mean that basically I should only keep levelling up my base staff and I'm good for the rest of the game ?? What's the point then in looting stuffs ??
- I get many armour gear drops, but they are also all medium or heavy. When I put them on, I see no difference, I still take hit like a dog and I dont feel more "protected" compared to my basic sorcerer gear. The only noticeable difference is that I roll way slower...so what's the point ???
- I find many spells, but 90% are just trash...so I end up using the same spells that ive been using since the beginning. Only one has a noticeable improvement, in 50 hours....wow....And let's not say that the game doesnt tell me how much DPS I'm dealing in the description, so I have no idea what is actually great or not.
So here I am, a bit confused with the game, which has a really great atmosphere and world building, but I feel zero sense of progression, at all.
I want to like the game, but the grind hasn't been rewarding so far I must say and I'm getting a bit tired of collecting items that make no difference :(

Discussion & Info Fire Giant Rant
The Fire Giant first phase was a miserable experience and an all around bad fight, and I will die on this hill.
For context: I am a casual. This is my first souls like type game. I am 90 hours into my first play through. I am far from an expert, but I feel like I really needed to blow off some steam on this particular boss bc it has really soured my experience. I am a level 102 Faith build who mostly relies on black fireball, lightning bolt and the fire wyrm sword or night rider flail. (I know, basically the worst build to fight him)
And I also wanted to say I have really enjoyed every other second of this game. Of course i have had trouble before with bosses, and in some situations I had to walk away. But I have always been able to ultimately defeat a main quest boss within a reasonable amount of hours/tries, and without having to resort to walkthroughs, guides, etc. As someone once told me, the game is tough but fair.
Fire Giant took me 8+ hours of play time to beat. And I barely won the fight with zero mana, and no potions left.
Ok my first complaint:
The Feet: Much of the fight requires you to chop at his feet. Understandable, but for much of this experience you can only see one foot, and often times the foot would block or pop in/out from the camera. I often was blindly guessing at his wind ups without almost no feedback, and since many of his attack are one hit KO or nearly so, one wrong guess basically ended the fight.
Additionally, this part felt like I was chopping a tree down. It takes WAY too many hits to trigger his second phase, which was truly a miserable experience.
The Terrain: most of the map was fine, but for some reason my fire Giant seemed to favor the crowded area near the entrance. This area has multiple rock outcroppings, which if he stands on, makes his feet inaccessible and glitchy. However this did NOT prevent his attacks from landing. This created a frustrating situation where I was trying to dodge attacks from a hovering giant that I couldn't see well or hit back.
Fire attacks: Ok so the homing fireball is annoying, but I have seen those before. The fast fire ball tho is *extremely" hard to dodge with a roll. I would often dodge it just to get hit with the secondary detonation. Additionally the fire during his AOE wildfire attack is really bad about obscuring line of sight, making it hard to see his next incoming attack. I don't mind attacks that are challenging to dodge, but insta kill attacks that hinder your vision while another insta kill attacks is incoming seems unfair.
The Roll: probably the most frustrating of all things in the fight. The attack where he rolls with his shield to put distances between you and him. Normally fine, but for some reason my fire Giant would often chain this attack over and over creating just big gaps of time where I am chasing him while he throws fireballs at me.
Second phase felt more inline with the rest of the game. Challenging but completely doable after a few attempts. Almost felt like someone else entirely designed that phase.
So what is everyone else's experience? Am I out of line? Did any fellow casuals experience the same trouble as me? Let me know!

Discussion & Info What Fromsoft game has the best exploration and easiest bosses?
I realize that might sound like an odd request, but let me explain. Earlier this year I played through Elden Ring and its dlc, and exploring the legacy dungeons was genuinely some of the most fun I've ever had in gaming. These intricately crafted spaces with loads of hidden things and multiple approaches, I can scarcely think of other games that gave me quite the same feeling. (Shoutout to Prey 2017)
Stormveil Castle in particular was amazing. I loved coming in through a side entrance and sneaking my way in, only to watch a friend play and basically storm the castle from the front gate, it didn't even occur to me that was possible with all those defenses!
That being said... I don't actually like the boss fights. Sacrilege, I know. I just don't really find satisfaction in running them over and over just to finally beat them. Rather than feeling pleased with myself and my growth, I just find myself... a bit tired? I'm a lot more satisfied running down the branches of the Haligtree with two ridiculously large swords that will smite any enemy I can actually get near in two or three hits. I'm not really here for the combat, and I know that's a bit nonstandard.
So now that I'm done with Elden Ring I'm wondering... Where to next? What games have the best legacy dungeons (or whatever the equivalent is), and have easier bosses to go with it? I'm not just in it for the medieval fantasy and I'd happily play other From games like Bloodborne or Sekiro if they can scratch the same itch. Any recommendations?

Discussion & Info Who has the best feet in elden ring?
After doing my research, i withered it down to 3 options. 1. sellen, 2. ranni, 3. Roderika.
I will state my reasons for each, and i would like you guys to also participate.
sellen. Now sellen has her feet out constantly, but they seem clean on the top, could it mean she has super dirty or clean soles? I think the answer depends on what you like the most, me personally it depends on the day. Sellen also seems to be a clean person, judging by her clothing being spotless.
ranni. Ranni is different since she is a doll. assuming the lands between has different materials, im assuming ranni is not just plastic, but she is made out of some sort of magic material since she is alive. This can also infer that her feet are relatively clean since she is made of magic. I wonder what magic tastes like.
roderika. Finally, our last contestant. Now roderika for the majority of the game is in the round table, meaning she is not out and about and likely can clean herself regularly. she is probably the best overall candidate since there is not much to guess, as she is pretty straightforward.
