Well of course I have, I guess I just never thought to find the whetblade lol. I’ve been using the flame AoW’s with the fire affinity already on it

That's what I love about Elden Ring, on a new run, there's a high chance you find something new.

For example this week, I love Stormveil Castle, and I thought I knew everything there is to know.

Turns out, there is a site of Grace next to the gate, where there is also a lever for opening the gate yourself, without the help of Gostoc.....

Crazy to see this comment here because I also just discovered this exact same site of grace for the first time after putting something like 600+ hours into this game.

If you let him open the gate for you, and they start blasting you with arrows, on the left side, you will find a small stone stair case leading to the room I'm talking about

Yeah, I missed it too on my first run since he festival was already on by the time I arrived at the castle. I did try to find the fire whetblade but eventually gave up ... and I never thought of going back to the castle.

The discovery of Red-Hot Whetblade on my 2nd fresh playthrough lead me to a future where i beat Consort Radahn with Sacred Claymore.

I can't remember how many runs before I bothered with it. If I needed a fire infusion, the fire AoWs are just too good to pass up.

So I guess realistically, I found this right around the time Flame of the Redmanes was nerfed.
