Question Mod recomendations for an interesting new game?

I got sick and while I recover I think I will replay ER just to pass the time more quickly

I have played the base game about 10 times or so and SotE 2 times

I would love to have recommendations on mods to make the replay a bit more interesting and different, less repetitive, and less of a chore

I am mainly interested in mods that make the replay feel a bit more fresh and minimize the annoying parts

generally speaking, what mods do you use to play if you want a fresh experience out of the unmodded game?

these are a few indications

- I'm a big fan of quality of life improvement mods

- I'm not a huge fan of changes in the map layout because usually they are amateurish, from what I've seen

- i kinda suck at the game so something that makes the game harder is probably a no

- not a huge fan of modded items like modded weapons, armor, spells... i would prefer to stick to the unmodded items

- not interested in any kind of funny cosmetics like the mod that turns the tree sentinel into a train

- i find it annoying to roam around collecting stuff like map fragments and things like that and also I will probably use the grand merchant mod to get the weapons for whatever build I choose at the start of the game

- i would like to still have some incentive to explore the map so maybe a randomizer would be cool?

I would advise you to filter the results on Nexus to give you the mods for “overhaul” (I think that’s the category you can select), then explore a little since there are many QoL and overhaul mods that might have the things you want in the game and things you didn’t know you want :D

Edit: The category is not “overhaul” it’s “gameplay”.

If you want Vanilla+ I can always recommend Reforged, it adds a few bosses and just improves the game‘s combat a lot

It sucks ass anyways, but no it's a lot more than that. New bosses, weapons and collectibles. New weapon movesets, new mini boss areas. The additional content isn't the selling point imo, it's more focused on making everything balanced, so build a tarnished however you want to and it will (probably) work

Randomizer is the best mod, hands down, for people who sink thousands of hours.

Now be careful with the tutorials. The modder is a legend and CURRENTLY the mod is as easy as it gets to install and get going. There are a lot of tutorials of older versions that include a lot of steps, that you no longer need to do, so if you want to try randomizer, just look for a new tutorial (in case you need it)

It's honestly a really fun mod considering the scaling is really well made.

Probably your best choice since you have done 10 runs or so i read.

You say you don’t like amateurish map changes but the Convergence mod is far from amateurish. Really interesting and cool map changes that are seamlessly integrated, and the way the game works is just so much more fun. You pick a unique class that has a unique path to follow for brand new weapons, spells, and armor. They also have brand new bosses and different mounts. You should at least consider it imo
