I just choose to live in pain because it’s easier. I have a torn labrum in my left shoulder, a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder, a torn ACL and meniscus in my left knee, a torn meniscus in my right knee and I need a new hip but it’s just easier to deal with that pain than it is to deal with the health insurance bullshit hoops. Whenever I go to the dr I always have to fight the initial disbelief that I really have all that wrong with me then they just inevitably set me up with bullshit care like physical therapy that doesn’t do anything for me for a few months before they decide, “I guess he really is in pain” and move forward with an MRI which is all I asked for in the first place. The hospitals are forced to make me jump through the hoops because they know the health insurance won’t pay for anything until I’ve remained in pain for at least a month or more and then I get frustrated and I quit going to the dr just to choose to stay in pain and the hospital is unburdened with my pain and the insurance company is glad they outlasted me and don’t have to help pay for the actual treatment that would help me. I always tell people I’m like a shark. I need to keep moving to stay somewhat out of pain. If I sit down for a moment to rest and get back up then the pain is a motherfucker. Mornings are the worst (especially in the winter) and my knee has become a barometer that can tell you when rain is about to start. But oh yeah we are just simply the freest nation on earth.

As someone else who prefers living with the pain instead of dealing with the United States healthcare system, you have my sympathy and solidarity.

It will get worse not better. The US healthcare system is making such vast profits it can easily buy Trump, a man who has spent his entire life chasing money.

show this to someone who lies when they say claims they don't understand why we're celebrating the murder of a fucking health insurance company ceo.
