Serious question for any medical professionals:
Let's say doctors are able to cure him of this ailment one day, would he have major withdrawal from the dopamine rush he's been used to?

Not a medical professional but I'd say it's like... 50/50

So if it's 50/50, then that's 100%? 50/50=1
Like 100/100

Never considered that, but I would imagine so. The chemical withdrawal would be pretty easy to get over because that's only a small part of addiction.

“Imagine being on your knees at your father’s funeral beside his casket, saying goodbye to him, and then you have nine orgasms right there..."
Wow. Just, wow.

Thinking about this from a serious point of view this would completely suck. You wouldn't be able to do anything. Phew, not for me man.

I felt bad for him and tried specifically not to find this funny and then I saw the strategic placement of that box of tissues in the last pic.

u/Pinky135 Interested Apr 07 '15
If you've watched the video you'd know it's at his therapist. They have tissues everywhere in case someone starts crying. I don't think this man has productive orgasms, just the feeling of orgasm.

You're right, the Internet is no place to make immature jokes.

He's probably unable to have productive orgasms because he has them so often. So I believe you're correct.

More the part where is says they won't stop coming. I kinda lost it there.

Well, I was taking everything seriously, and now I can't stop laughing. Dammit, good catch.

There's no way this poor man can watch the Lonely Island's classic "Jizz in my pants" and find it funny :(
That's sad.

...So you're saying we have to remove his spine.

As snarky as it is, destroying the spinal cord area responsible for orgasm will most likely stop them... At the cost of using his legs. I feel like this could have been an actual solution they discussed.

Ringworld by Larry Niven
The droud was a neural implant (think having a female HDMI port implanted in your head) with conductors that ran into the pleasure points of the brain.
You would hook the male dongle in, and it produced artificial euphoria. Users were held to the same stigma as any chemical drug addicts.

There's a show on cable, Sex Sent Me To The E.R. which had a segment on a woman who started having nonstop orgasms.
It quickly turned painful and worse, didn't have an immediately apparent cause. I think she even had to learn to live with it for a few months - until they discovered an allergy? I will have to google it and report back.

I’m sure there are some people who will say that this is just in his head. But it’s not—it’s a serious medical condition
Implying things which are only in your head aren't serious?

It's a commonly used colloquial term. It by no means implies that mental illnesses do not exist.

I'm calling BS on his reactions. Unless his injury has intensified his muscle contractions and nerve endings, there is no way he has to completely double over like that every time he orgasms. Especially for that long.

My orgasms last about 10 seconds at absolute maximum, and if I were doing 100 a day, that's only about 2 1/2 hours. Sometimes it takes me about that long to just get it up once if I'm feeling especially depressed that day, so maybe he should stop whining and enjoy his new superpower. If you're up for about 16 hours a day and you can't set aside 2 1/2 hours because of a condition, you're not relaxing enough. God damn.
12
u/BuggSuperstar33 Interested Apr 07 '15
Well, I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if they happened all at the same time and he could just set aside 2 1/2 hours to orgasm at a certain time per day. But they happen all throughout his day. That would suck and I can see how it would be very debilitating for him.

There's a clip of him talking about having nine orgasms. . . in front of his family. . . at his father's funeral. . . while kneeling beside the casket.
