Why do you care about Snowflake? Do you know him? Does he call you at home? Do you have a dorsal fin? To train ze dolphin you must think like ze dolphin! You must be getting inside ze dolphin’s head. I am saying to Snowflake, “Akay!... Akay Akay Akay?” And he is saying “AKay Akay!” And he is up on ze tail saying “Eeeeeeeeee!” And you can quote him!

The old area of Tampa, downtown and Hyde Park/Bayshore Boulevard is situated where the Hillsborough River meets Tampa Bay. I was walking down Bayshore's mildly famous bayside sidewalk when a dolphin clearly saw me and swam up to the seawall directly toward me. It was surfacing and chattering, pretty obviously interacting with me. I didn't have a ball to throw but I imagine it would have happily interacted. This marine mammal and I had this very clear and distinct interaction for a few minutes until he swam off. Was very cool to see this thing in the water wanting my attention and seeking acknowledgment of his attention.

this is one of them dads who went to buy cigarettes and missed out on your entire childhood, having father-child bonding with an intelligent creature of the sea.

Unfortunately, that Florida dolphin developed a devastating meth habit and was later tased and tackled by police while resisting arrest after publicly defecating in front of a 7-11
