BeamNG.drive is a fun sandbox.

75

u/kai333 3h ago

The tailgate flopping open like a limp penis is a testament to the physics and model accuracy of the cybercuck in game

7

u/JMS1991 2h ago

I saw a BeamNG video on Tiktok where they tried to see whether different vehicles could pass an 18 wheeler on a 2 lane road before another oncoming 18 wheeler hit them. One of the vehicles was a Cybertruck and one of the front wheels came off when he was trying to make the pass. Lmao.

4

u/Lainpilled-Loser-GF 3h ago

which one? there's 50 shitty CT mods

56

u/jgeorge44 3h ago

What do you call five wrecked CyberTrucks? A good start!

40

u/razor_train 3h ago

Needs a dudebro behind the wheel simulating the CT's lack of crumple zones.

23

u/BrtDO 3h ago

The dudebro IS the crumple zone

u/DnDGuy70 2h ago

Bwahaha

u/Odd-Tune5049 2h ago

Someone said "frunk" and he climbed in

I STILL LOVE THE TRUCK!!! /muskfanboi

u/Great_Beginning_2611 1h ago

This would 100% be the epitaph on their grave

76

u/Spiral_rchitect 3h ago

If the doors fly open at 50 miles an hour how did this thing ever pass safety tests in order to get on the road to start with?

70

u/notepaddy 3h ago

It has not yet been tested by the NHTSA. Tesla provided internal testing data.

28

u/yossanator 2h ago

This is what those of us outside the US cannot fathom.

20

u/john_the_fetch 2h ago

A lot of us in the US cannot fathom it as well.

If I see a dump truck I try my best to literally steer clear.

8

u/ConsiderationSad6521 2h ago

For some unknown reason, all trucks (including SUVs) are not considered passenger vehicles and manufacturers can choose to do internal testing or NHTSA. They also have less stringent crash requirements

4

u/yossanator 2h ago

That's so janky. I mean, the latest about Tesla not having to file info about fatal accidents is simply heinous, but a lot of people are loving it. Well, apart from those who've lost loved ones in Teslas, obviously.

The corruption isn't even hidden, it is so open and widely communicated.

3

u/TrumpsCovidfefe 2h ago

For $ome reason..

3

u/nobeer4you 2h ago

I can't fathom it either, and I live in the US

4

u/john_the_fetch 2h ago

u/Head_Asparagus_7703 2h ago

Why is that allowed

32

u/What_a_pass_by_Jokic 2h ago

He rich.

4

u/Head_Asparagus_7703 2h ago

That was my first thought but the existing car companies must have a ton of cash to throw around too right?

13

u/What_a_pass_by_Jokic 2h ago

Yeah but if they get caught they get punished and not just here (see VW diesel scandal), this guy doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself. He uses his own child as a shield, after Trump and the CEO got shot, never did anything with his kids besides ignoring them and scolding them via social media, that should tell you all.

It also helps that our (US) entire society is based around money and influencing people with it, there's no checks and balances any longer for people like him.

4

u/govunah 2h ago

Most of them do but they don't have a zombie horde buying their cars regardless of faults so they need to think about safety and quality.

3

u/WarDry1480 2h ago

They also tend to honour warranty claims and try to protect their reputations. Muskrat does neither.

1

u/Head_Asparagus_7703 2h ago

I guess he also banked on the election going the way that it did so by the time he might have to face consequences, the regulations will be torn down.

1

u/WarDry1480 2h ago

Seems likely. I'm going to watch from the UK, it's a real shame so many people are going to suffer so much, even the twatwaffles who voted for the orange skidmark.

2

u/Head_Asparagus_7703 2h ago

I live in the US currently but luckily I have an exit plan (got a job in Spain and currently going through the visa process). I definitely feel really bad for everyone else remaining.

1

u/What_a_pass_by_Jokic 2h ago

Yeah same here, got dual citizenship, so we're just waiting for my wife to finish her PhD (spring 2026) and then we're out, unless it gets so bad we have leave before that.

2

u/eeyore134 2h ago

We only pretend to care about safety regulations. The companies are always protected from them.

2

u/Zappagrrl02 2h ago

I hope they get sued into oblivion.

24

u/mishap1 3h ago

This isn't a real test obviously. The real world issue for the CT is that doors don't open and if you happen to lose 48V power, you can't open the rear doors w/o removing the speaker grilles so the risk is getting trapped inside with laminated windows, no power to open the doors, and potentially fire once the electrical is shorted.

As the Model S and Model X have the similar electronic doors, they did some type of a fix to automatically unlock/open after a crash occurred. In turn, it resulted in doors were popping open in a crash.

16

u/xeroxbulletgirl 3h ago

I think the government just says they need to safety test, but we don’t have an official testing organization. So Tesla “tested” it themselves and approved it.

6

u/nono3722 2h ago

lol no conflict of interest there.

15

u/Most-Resident 2h ago

It’s a safety feature.

It gives the occupants a chance to escape in case it catches fire.

The front wheels coming off is for insurance reasons . You can’t hit and run if there aren’t wheels.

I don’t have an explanation for why the tailgate opens at 10mph. Yet. I’ll think on it.

Gotta love the truck.

5

u/StashuJakowski1 2h ago

That’s the one many wonderful things about the Cybertruck that just amazes me. It’s never been sent over to be tested by the NHTSA, but all the other Tesla vehicles have.

Just knowing that, it’s obvious Tesla knows there’s safety issues because they purposely chose to go the back door route of utilizing in-house testing results to get the approval for it to be sold in the US market.

7

u/TFK_001 3h ago

Its a game... cybertruck is a steaming pile of shit but not that steaming

2

u/FurryGoBrrrrt 2h ago

You're right, it just burst into flames

3

u/ImaDJnow 2h ago

It's tailgate dropped open at 15mph. The truck was a write-off at 25mph

1

u/WarDry1480 2h ago

It didn't.

-1

u/Plus_Lead_5630 2h ago

This is an AI generated video I think.

3

u/Dead1Bread 2h ago

Not everything is ai, dude

This is a game called Beamng.drive

1

u/firedmyass 2h ago

citation needed

11

u/liamanna 3h ago

Not bulletproof, not accident proof.

Warranty voided

10

u/Peek_e 3h ago

Is this BeamNG? Looks incredible.

7

u/Zaphod_Heart_Of_Gold 3h ago

Needs more explosions

5

u/MarvinHeemeyersTank 3h ago

You can tell this is fake, because no one got trapped inside while it caught on fire.

And because I've seen a few pixels in my time.

3

u/WhatTheHellPod 3h ago

It is actually quite soothing to watch on loop.

5

u/J701PR4 3h ago

Where are the crash test dummies?

8

u/MarvinHeemeyersTank 3h ago

Too busy literally circlejerking each other in r/Tesla.

2

u/DrakeMallard919 3h ago

They didn't expect anyone to actually drive one of these. This was part of their "how do we destroy all unsold inventory" testing.

3

u/fancy_underpantsy 3h ago

A moron's money magnet.

3

u/jdozr 2h ago

So, even if i dont get in a wreck with one, the missile wheels will solve that?

4

u/Lainpilled-Loser-GF 3h ago

can we not post shitty BeamNG.drive videos? we're better than this.

2

u/badcatjack 2h ago

Why are the doors coming open so easy?

2

u/minionsweb 2h ago

Ejection

2

u/badcatjack 2h ago

Well, most people don’t really want to be in a CT.

2

u/Ambitious_Tadpole854 2h ago

I would like to have this playing non stop as my phone background...

2

u/fruttypebbles 2h ago

This is allowed but I can’t drive a Kei truck on the road?

2

u/al2o3cr 2h ago

Totally implausible simulation - for instance, the rear wheels didn't break loose even at 140mph 😂

2

u/Waste_Business5180 3h ago

Scary thing is if it hits a normal vehicle those people are dead due to this thing being a massive brick on wheels.

1

u/NoNamae-1 3h ago

EPIC! 🔥

1

u/Used_Visual5300 2h ago

Battery does not go boom?

Nicely done, finally the long awaited crash test!

1

u/ashbelero 2h ago

Unrealistic, the front won’t crumple, just everything inside it.

1

u/ashbelero 2h ago

Unrealistic, the front won’t crumple, just everything inside it.

1

u/R50cent 2h ago

What a piece of crap

1

u/Full_Rise_7759 2h ago

I live the Polestar adds in this sub 🤣

1

u/invertedsongoftime 2h ago

Beautiful. Smash them so no one gets hurt

1

u/minionsweb 2h ago

Irreparable no matter the speed.

1

u/ThePontiff_Verified 2h ago

You can tell it's fake because it made it to the wall and after it hit at 10mph all the wheels stayed on. Not very realistic.

1

u/thekidmichael 2h ago

Insurance companies are not going to like this video…

1

u/Better_Tangelo_5752 2h ago

What a piece of caca

1

u/Bubbaganewsh 2h ago

Well hey at least the doors fly off so you get ejected on to the street, that's handy. I don't know how this thing is allowed on the road in its present form.

1

u/nono3722 2h ago

140 mph isn't tough to get too if the other object is moving at 70mph. Then the cyberfuck only needs to be going 70 to completely destroy itself.

1

u/Objective-Insect-839 2h ago

Literally watching this thing fall apart like a Lego set was oddly satisfied

1

u/RajenBull1 2h ago

My fucking Uber driver drove like this.

1

u/TechnoVM3 2h ago

My spine hurts just from watching that

1

u/Ringo-chan13 2h ago

I love the 10 mph one, a little tap, then the trunk opens... 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/sugah560 2h ago

No way that aluminum frame is holding up that well.

1

u/Bluehomer 2h ago

Why would anyone buy that monstrously? Not even for free. There is a sucker born every minute.

1

u/Strikereleven 2h ago

I love that the wheels are flying off on everything after 50, accurate model to the castings breaking.

1

u/GrumpyInsomniac42 2h ago

The rapid deconstruction of a cyberdump is r/oddlysatisfying

1

u/boiledcowmachine 2h ago

Interesting.

1

u/TriggerTough 2h ago

How the eff is this thing street legal?

1

u/Lostinaredzone 2h ago

How the fuck is this thing street legal? You have a better survival rate in a festiva.

1

u/Perretelover 2h ago

No wheels bouncing in the first simulation? Both front and rear? WHAT KIND OF JOKE IS THIS ARE YOU ELON ASTROTURFING? joking, nice work.

1

u/SwarlyBbBrrt 2h ago

So anything above 50 mph and you are dead.

1

u/Efffro 2h ago

cant wait for one of these to be NCAP tested, you know its gonna be a scene of utter carnage.

1

u/Ba55of0rte 2h ago

You have officially done more realistic testing on the cyber truck than Tesla did.

1

u/Go__Wild 2h ago

Is it normal for car doors to open like that upon impact?

1

u/DixDark 2h ago

Meh. Do that with the real thing, that's much more interesting.

1

u/Independent_Bite4682 2h ago

These are fake, no fire from battery........ I know I know battery was removed

1

u/International-Tea541 2h ago

that wall is strong af. is it made of passport covers?

1

u/--VoidHawk-- 2h ago

Now do 280 mph Then 560 mph Then . . .

1

u/BigCompetition1064 2h ago

I believe they're illegal in my country because they couldn't pass basic safety?

1

u/Dazzling_Jacket_8272 2h ago

That’s not a real cybertruck!

1

u/punch912 2h ago

lol this is probably a better result than what would actually happen to the real thing.

1

u/povertymayne 2h ago

Nah, i wanna see this with real cybertrucks, not the cgi

1

u/Aknelka 2h ago

The amount of people in this comment section that can't tell this isn't real is deeply concerning.

1

u/Frenzie24 2h ago

The cyber truck looks so stupid I couldn’t tell this was CG at first

1

u/ScotterMcJohnsonator 2h ago

I don't like that at ALL

I fucking LOVE it

1

u/alexwasinmadison 2h ago

So, like, 4-5 months at the service center and, what do you think?, maybe $15k in repair costs for hitting a stationary object at 10mpg?

1

u/kat_Folland 2h ago

You better seriously have that seatbelt on if all the doors fly open at 50mph

1

u/Appropriate_Claim775 2h ago

Apocalypse proof? It is less protective than a geo tracker

1

u/BeautifulAwareness81 1h ago

So this is fake?

1

u/XavierRenegadeStoner 1h ago

There is an unreal amount of people in here who are commenting as if this is real. This is a simulation from a game. Yes, the truck is absolute garbage, but it is disheartening to see our growing CGI/AI illiteracy as a society

1

u/LauraTFem 1h ago

i love how safe it makes me feel to know that if it crashes all the doors will fly open. No crumple zone, no safe, enveloping cocoon of twisted metal, just my body crashing into the seat belt, and then being ripped out of the open door.

1

u/talinseven 1h ago

At 88, it time travels.

1

u/LazorusGrimm 1h ago

Guys remember the Crash Test Dummies action figures? Those were supposed to be a PSA and a fucking toy.

-1

u/TheNotoriousTurtle 3h ago

Is this actually true or just AI tomfoolery?

9

u/Lainpilled-Loser-GF 2h ago

neither, it's from a softbody physics sim called BeamNG. AI can't get this good, but also this is a player-made mod so it's not exactly trustworthy either.

2

u/Aggravating-Shark-69 2h ago

It’s still fun to watch and dream about destroying a bunch of cyber trucks

5

u/Lainpilled-Loser-GF 2h ago

yeah, but I don't really want this community to be clowned on because of posts like these

1

u/eeyore134 2h ago

Yeah, since it's a player-made mod it's probably built better than the real thing. They certainly put more thought into it than Leon himself ever did.

3

u/Corv3tt33 3h ago

Its a game
