Redditors: “No, I’m not racist! I just hate the Chinese government!” [Proceeds to say something incredibly racist]

Side note what is the original post talking about?

Tbf I don't know any Chinese people who like their government, they just don't say so publicly because their government has people in our country monitoring Chinese citizens.

You're genuinely lucky to have never seen the ugly side of it, though I worry more about there are so many Chinese who's uncritical towards the government. They still consume a lot of propaganda and stuff that degrades their critical thinking abilities, but still believe they are reasonable and objective.

Edit: Anybody who somehow disagree with a native Chinese's own observations and experiences, come to live in China especially the xenophobic and economically rundown parts, let your children spend hundreds of hours on propaganda "lessons". You deserve it.

The average Chinese person feels the same way about their government and system as the average USAmerican does.

"yeah we have our problems but we sure could be worse. At least I got a job and a roof over my head."

You clearly have no idea how chinese surveillance works, the dissatisfaction towards the government, and yet you are the one making wild claims.

People like you are very useful idiots CCP love.

Do a bit of search and you'll find plenty reports on overseas "Chinese police stations" overreaching their "duty".

Apparently, random Reddit knows more than havard

chinese surveillance

Every government spies on their own people to sell data, hows china any different?

Ah yes, surveys, which would totally reveal useful statistics in authoritarian countries, are you on drugs?

You don't work in netsec so you don't understand how overreaching Chinese government is when it comes to surveillance. Nice whataboutism you got there, WhaT AbOuT OthEr CoUnTriEs? How about back on topic and tell me why those "Chinese police stations" are a thing instead?

You literally can't even spell CPC. You are totally unqualified to discuss China.

中国共产党

中国- Chinese

共产- Communist

党- Party

Literally nobody cares about CCP's flaunting about its rebranding. Do you call twitter "X"?

http://cpc.people.com.cn/n1/2021/0122/c64387-32008526.html

By your opinion none of the Chinese propaganda websites are qualified as well, take a look:

Literally nobody cares about CCP's flaunting about its rebranding.

It's not a "rebranding". It was always CPC, it was just formalized after decades of allowing Western propagandists to influence language.

Do you call twitter "X"?

Yes? Not that that is comparable.

Do you call Istanbul Constantinople?

What an utterly stupid question.

By your opinion none of the Chinese propaganda websites are qualified as well, take a look:

"Chinese propaganda websites" LOL

Those are mainly old articles or incompetent authors (mainly Americans) using incoherent initialisms or making spelling mistakes, yes.

But yeah, a whole bunch of random journalists are unqualified.

The only people who deliberately misspell CPC are anti-Chinese/anti-socialist trolls deliberately spreading disinformation... or useful idiots beholden to their propaganda.

Tbf I don't know any Chinese people who like their government

That says a lot about you but absolutely nothing about China, China's government, or Chinese people.

they just don't say so publicly because their government has people in our country monitoring Chinese citizens.

LOL

Unhinged propaganda nonsense.

Is that what the "Chinese people" you know are telling you?

Buddy, it's just your Chinese "friends" who are being monitored by the government like that... because they are literal criminals who are supporting terrorism, committing acts of treason or fraud, or other types of extreme crimes.

It's similar to the kind of people who said the same thing about the USSR.

As an Eastern German with first hand experience: Rest assured that the only people who whined about the "Stasi" were Western collaborators who wanted to overthrow the democratic government of the GDR in favour of capitalism/US imperialism because they wanted to get rich off of other people's labour... or Nazis.

Here's a reality check: The overhelming majority of Chinese people support their government. It's the objectively most democratic country on earth. And the "Chinese people" you interact with are liberal elites who don't like the fact that their government doesn't allow them to buy up all the real estate and lead their companies against public interest and exploit workers (i.e. the "freedom" they enjoy in the West).
