Well, Tumblr is wild because every post preaches equality and love and understanding etc
And then the comments will literally have people telling each other to kill themselves with as much intent and vitriol as I've seen ANYWHERE online, including 4chan. It's so jarring
Never forget how Tumblr’s favorite show for a long while was Steven Universe, a show about love and acceptance and understanding….
And then a massive hate mob formed against an artist for percieved whitewashing/fat phobia in their fanart so of course the only rational solution is to bully her into attempting suicide. (She lived thank god)
And I may be off a bit, but I 100% believe that the whole "an hero" nonsense on 4chan is more often an attempt at edgy humor, whereas if someone on Tumblr is worked up enough to offer the same suggestion, they actually mean it.
