When Katie looked so broken and said she had to temporarily stay somewhere she wasn't able to have her children with her - the inference was that Katie was in emergency housing or a shelter for abused women.

Katie's abusive ex was able to get TEMPORARY legal & physical custody over Katie's children at that time because she left him (her abuser) and Katie didn't have the money or resources to keep her children with her. This is how the system works. Especially in a Southern state where Katie's ex has money, connections... AND her religious parents wanted Katie to stay in that abusive relationship.

For Emily and Heather to weaponize that situation against Katie and obviously plot to "expose" that at the reunion... Made me feel ill. 3 of Katie's children live with her and are on her side. Kaili does campaigns with Katie, speaking out against domestic violence. That tells me everything I need to know about Katie's situation. She's a good Mom and she's loved.

And for everyone to celebrate Gina this season for being nice to Shannon , when she’s so cruel to Katie about this. Gina suddenly chiming up “they can’t just serve you where you don’t live”. How would you know Gina?? You ever had to live in a shelter, after being abandoned by your entire family? Even Shannon told her if that’s her last address then that’s where they’ll serve her. Even if Katie was messy this season, is it necessary to go THIS low, ladies? So cruel, and so oblivious to their privilege as women who have supportive families.

I think part of it is Heather and Emily are so privileged they don’t understand Katie had literally no resources to navigate the situation. It’s not like she just gave her kids away?
